Protection Analysis for Aircraft

The title is pretty self-explanatory; adding the ability to test the armor of aircraft against weapons, specifically aircraft weapons, to determine their usefulness.

 

For example, I have no way of knowing whether or not the Armoured Glass upgrade for the La-7B-20 is worth my time. The 75 mm of armoured glass might not be beneficial versus the existing 66 mm at stopping small caliber bullets, so I wouldn't want to spend the extra weight for no gain in protection.

 

This would be very simple to implement, as the system already exists for Ground Forces. To reduce clutter, weapons would be listed rather than entire aircraft.

Seems sensible. The system already exists, and some players have accessed it through bugs. More information is better, right?

Great idea. We don't have any REAL idea about how the aircraft armor works, but tankers can know it exactly
