Rptd: (1.89.2.25)Tanks with coaxial guns can't aim well while in first person reticle mode


Since the last update, I can't aim well with the coax guns on any tank that has this feature if I'm doing it in the first person aiming sights mode. Basically, I can aim with no issues from third person, but the moment I enter the first person aiming reticle I lose control of the vertical movement of the gun. Anyone else with the same issue (and hopefully a fix)? I tried resetting my keybinds but it didn't help.
I originally thought this was a Maus-specific issue, but it affects all the tanks that have coaxial guns.

This issue occurs on both Realistic and Arcade, and it can be reproduced in the Testing Range as well.

 

How to reproduce the issue:

1- Select a tank with coaxial mounted guns, such as the M6A1 or the Maus, for instance

2- Bind keys so you can select secondary guns in your vehicle (you might also want to bind a different key for secondary fire, but this is NOT needed)

3- Press the key/s for the secondary gun, go into aiming reticle mode

4- You will instantly notice that vertical aiming capabilities are pretty much lost while in this mode. The gun can still move horizontally

I have experienced the Same Issue in 1.91.0.47 but noticed that as long as you have set the Sight Distance it will endlessly elevate the gun.
It only happens as long as you are in Secondary Gun Sniper mode, but doesn't matter if the Sight Distance is set before or after entering it.

Are you using Sight Distance Controls like eiwe?

 

I have found during testing that there is an issue with the selection of the secondary gun.  But for testing the vertical movement of the barrel in sniper view (without Sight Distance seIected) I cannot replicate the issue.  I have definitely found an issue in isolating the secondary gun from the main.

I just need to check that we don't have two issues here.

I experienced the same issue with the Maus before 1.91. I could not aim verticaly with the coaxial gun in first person view when I selected it, and the sight was slowly moving down. I use sight control distance.

Yeah, should be 2019_09_11_14_12_17__57084.clog
The Test Drive seen in the video should (re)start shortly after 2019.09.11 - 15.47.17.03 if that helps any.

Just to clarify, in my case all of what @KurtRussell89 wrote still applies. The Secondary gun can not be elevated by Mouse input.
The problem exists only with the secondary Weapon selected. (You can tell by the spacing of the Range marks) and when in Sniper view.

I have also tested other vehicles with secondary guns (B1 bis, M3 Lee, M6A1) and only had this Issue on vehicles where the secondary gun Elevation is linked with the main gun (M6A1).

For the M6A1 refer to 2019_09_12_15_42_28__18512.clog at around 2019.09.12 - 16.30.23.08
Edit: You Will notice that when the secondary weapon is selected the range marks only go out to 24 while with the main gun selected it will go out to 28 (as in the video provided by @KnightoftheAbyss)

I also have Issues with the Sight Distance Value resetting when in Battle, but that happens on all vehicles so I don't think they are related.

I switched on Sight Distance Controls and I can replicate the issue eiwe had as well. Tried it in the Test Drive just now. This wasn't my original issue though (my original issue is also still in the game, and it's that I can't aim vertically with coax tank guns while in sniper mode).

eiwe's issue seems to kick in when starting to adjust the sight distance, but will go away if you adjust it the other way while it's happening.
