Hi, i need help with the game, as it doesn't let me play anymore! It was perfect till Yesterday!

So i launch the game from Steam and this is how the launcher is on my screen:

warthunder.png.b5a53514f668ec9ba6f371e6f

after this when i try to launche the game i get this message:

246892762_EAC1.png.e6cfbcaf9f873af2ba549

So i went and checked inside the steam folder for EasyAntiCheat, and i get this message:

eac2.png.abf2a6eb76c0d49ca0819aa608c5bc4

but i can't finde the EAC launcher, anyone knows what to do?

Could you send me your lastest launcher log? It's located under \WarThunder\.launcher_log\

Eg if you have the game installed on steam: C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\War Thunder\.launcher_log

Once it's done, i would recommend you to reinstall the game from scratch, using the front page launcher (clic on download the game).

If you don't want to wait or have a slow connection, try the following:

1/ Do not deinstall

2/ Grab the launcher from the website

3/ Use the launcher to make second installation of war thunder in another folder

4/ During the installation prompt, name it differently (eg: WT instead of War Thunder)

5/ Go in that folder and launch "launcher.exe"

6/ If it's not working, just deinstall "WT" (in windows, go to settings, app, search for "WT". It won't remove your normal installation.

The launcher is clever and should use some of the files from your first installation *if* they're not corrupted. I've done it plenty of time, i can install a second copy of War Thunder in ~2 minutes that way. (so i won't break my original installation doing stupid stuff).

If it's working, great. If it's not, deinstall and perform a full re-installation.

a (possible) workaround until the launcher is fixed (and EAC is getting mandatory) is to

open the config.blk in the ..\War Thunder\  main game folder (with a(ny) text editor) and look for the following line

extDbgOption1:b=yes

edit this to      extDbgOption1:b=no     and you should be good to go.

edit:

another option is to copy the eac_launcher.exe from the ..\war thunder\win32\  subfolder into the ..\War Thunder\

main game folder

@Ouiche

the issue is that the EAC launcher is located in the ..\War Thunder\win32\  folder instead of the main game folder

(like it has been on the dev server where it was working just fine) thus the eac launcher is looking for its settings

folder in the wrong directory (and the WT launcher itself cannot find it at all)

copying the whole ..\EasyAntiCheat\  folder into the ..\War Thunder\win32\  subfolder makes the client start as well

but in this case it will only start the 32bit client (ofc). so the devs need to make sure the eac_launcher.exe is getting

installed into (and ran from) the ..\War Thunder\  main folder.

thank you very much, i'll try to move the eac_launcher

this unfortunatly for me it didn't work, cause after i started the game, it gave me the same problem and i found that the eac launcher was back in the win32 folder:huh:

can't find the line inside the config.blk…. bah i think i will unistall from steam WT and maybe over the weekend download it again from the website, if the dev don't find a solution before friday

Tried ll of it. not working for me .... damn this sucks.

If you could provide a launcher log, this would help the developers know why it's not working. Otherwise they may not be able to fix your issue.

@funchi

I was getting this error too since I launch War Thunder directly from >aces.exe because my toaster pc wont launch 64bit version. I solved this by placing the EasyAntiCheat folder found in War Thunder>EasyAntiCheat into the WarThudner>win32 folder. After this I was able to launch from eac_launcher.exe inside win32 folder.

I can see 64bit in your launcher image above so try copying EasyAntiCheat folder into win64 folder.
