Chinese Helicopters?

I recall Chinese helicopters being confirmed for 2020 by an official Q&A. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what the helicopter tree could look like and how competitive it could be. I remember the WZ-10 from Battlefield 2 back in the day and that thing was pretty cool.

I suppose it depends on how much information Gaijin can acquire, if I had to take some guesses at what could appear:

 

Harbin Z-5 (Mi-4)

Masochism round 2: Only this time you don't get ATGMs

 

Z-9W

 

Z-19 which is a reconnaissance/attack Helicopter developed from the Z-9 (note the tailplane and rotor hub), similar to the Z-10 but with no chin gun

Projected improved version

The Republic of China has a few things on offer as well, they used UH-1 Hueys but I'm not sure if they ever flew armed.

They did buy AH-1 Supercobras

Theres also the OH-58D in the ROC, as for the UH-1H, ive seen a couple of mentions of two 7 tube 70mm rockets for the gunship role. They phased usage out with the arrival of the AH-1W. Found no pictures at the current time though.

Since the you mentioned the OH-58 and the OP mentioned BF4 there's also the Z-11

 

Really there's a good amount of stuff for Chinese Helicopters, and supposedly China developed top-attack munitions.

I don't know if there will be any Ka-50 levels of cheese, but they should be decently competitive

the Z-11W was awesome in BF4 I would love to see it in WT. If I recall the Russians also used it in either BF2 or BF4 or both.

Well since the Chinese Tree is turning more and more into the Taiwanese Tree i would not be surprised if the get a Cobra/Viper as well as Apaches

It has been a while since the chinese TT is out, and even though slowly, we are seeing more chinese vehicles. So I was wondering when will the chinese helicopters be coming to war thunder, currently playing china there isn't really any kind of air superiority in ground RB, especially when it is communism vs NATO, we really don't have much flying machines.

XD, sure your right. But I want to fly my own helicopter to do my things, its always best when you yourself has the ability to make choices. I did not encounter any Ka's for now, due to that I am playing 8.7, any B.r higher is rather hard to play when I only have a few tanks I can get my hands on.

Tbh I guess China will be the last in this game to get it's full Helicopter Tree... You see how slow they progress with Air and Ground. China don't even have a radar AA yet lol

I honestly dont understand why people want heli trees when, the gamemode is unbearable and not really fun. As unhistorical or historical the vikir missiles may be, it will continue to stomp other helis. Adding the Chinese helis would be a nice addition but who is really gonna go through the whole grind to get to the top heli, only to get the same experience and get whooped at 10km or 8km (if the vikirs are fixed). Yeah it would be fine to get helis but right now, china doesn't have a saclos or missile aa at all. They dont even have a Mbt above 10.0. Wanna play that new heli with a lineup of all vehicles below 10.0?

Honestly you do have a point, but that is not I want a chinese helicopter. I simply just want a chinese helicopter that I can fly around with, both is ground RB (8.7) and custom battles. I don't want the chinese helicopter just to get to top teir helis, but to enjoy flying every helicopter available, and enjoy the process of doing so.

Yeah but the problem is that would you want to slave a day or two to get to that 8.7 heli? Looking at the history, the first operated gazelles so thats a instant 9.7 i think (cant check currently br but might be wrong). Later one with there indigenous helis, i cant find any pictures with the pylons but they were able to use the tows, so thats off for 8.7 helis and below. Im guess they are gonna get a huey or ah1g. No flares and no fun.

i'm confused, isn't there no research needed in order to purchase the first helicopter, I will just start to save up when they announce it and purchase immediately once it is out. What do you mean about the gazelles? I'm pretty sure there are more helicopters like the harbin Z-5 that could be 8.3 or 8.7.

That's cool what you saying, but why it's being Chinese TT players to be punished? Every nation in game has helicopters, except China and Sweden(and that's bec. Sweden is the last nation have been added in game). I agree there are tonnes of problems in gameplay to get fixed, but that's not stoping them to add Chinese Heli TT like they did to others. China is already most neglected TT with everything especially in Top Tier... No competative Tanks, No SPAA with Radar(not even mentioning SAM ones), No competative Jets, No competative AAM for Jets, No competative CAS Plane and 0 Helicopter.

 

It's normal that people want to use Chinese Helicopters too, there are people who love Chinese Hardwares and want to play them in WT like others do for long time

China being its own nation in WT is lacking so much stuff compared to the German, Russian and US trees. This reason makes it so boring to play when you have already grinded this nation out. Helicopters were promised but to my continual disappointment, they haven't been added when they should have been already in game.

well knowing gaijin I guess the chinese will be as competitive as the big three when i'm already dead....idk but despite china being one of the top 3 strongest and largest militaries IRL its a minority in-game ;-;

Knowing gaijin, I guess there will already be UFO technology for the other nations in game and thats when the helicopters for china will be coming lol
