BushMonster1999 356 Report post Posted December 18, 2019 War thunder is a skill driven game, when it comes to premiums I would advise you start with something at a lower br like 4.7 or 5.0 or maybe lower. Top tier premiums look cool and awesome but don’t try running before you can even walk. By working your way up the ladder you can gain valuable insight into tactics and map knowledge. By doing this you can become a better player and have the skill to do well at top tier. Cheers and good luck magazine2 (Posted December 18, 2019) Moved to F.A.Q and Tutorials :)

Agreed, too many times I see a new player buy a top tier premium and then get frustrated and regret their purchase. Get plenty of experience before trying to play high tiers at all, especially premiums because you pay real money for them. Same goes for tier 4 premiums as well. I really regretted my purchase of the RU251 for a while because I had never played light tanks and constantly got killed. I only bought it this summer and I like to think I'm a pretty good player with lots of experience.
NeoWarspite 59 Report post Posted December 18, 2019 Exactly! They buy top tier premium, get killed almost instantly from a location they think impossible to reach, after that they come here and rant about how bad is the game and how hard etc.... (Not talking about leaving after 1 death since they don't have a lineup for it)
qpranger 1,887 Report post Posted December 18, 2019 I am gonna buy me a top tier premium tenku in Xmas sale and carry hard in it. I watched several cool YouTube videos, so I know I can do it. I already frag bots in Assault by the dozen in my VFW. Don't stop me now, coz I'm having a good time...

Just don't be A "one and done player" please have a line up so you can help your fellow teammates. We are not your friends but we all have the same goal... Get kills, win and have fun. It's not fun seeing half a dozen players quiting because they don't have proper line ups. Nor is it fun when others are already aggravated

I will start the battle in my fast BR 1.0 reserve light tank to try and take an objective, will then get fatally sneezed at by some big boy and jump into my shiny modern premium MBT to try and find that cad and exact my revenge on him, ignoring other enemies to a rapid detrimental effect on my crew and module health. And then I will finish the battle in my second BR 1.0 reserve light tank that is not as fast, but speed does not matter when you are mopping up ... or being mopped up.
