Hello, I'm going to suggest adding Austria as a new combined nation to the game, and here is Austrian Ground Forces Tech Tree:

https://pikpikker.neocities.org/au_wt.html

This is my own site where you can enlarge every picture and click any tank to read about it!

The tree as a picture:

Austria is well-known for its tanks like SK-105 Kurassier, Steyr ADGZ or 4K 4FA, and I thought it would be good to make them an independent tech tree. And during my research I found more interesting vehicles, so the tree turned out to have lots of unique tanks. And there is not so many clones. Austria is often put inside Swiss tree, but I prefer it to be separate as far as it is possible.

Caution! This tree breaks time frames in the game, because here is post-war vehicles everywhere, even on rank 2.

Now I will give a little review on each line.

Line 1 - light tanks. This line is represented with light tanks with big caliber guns, and the famous SK-105 Kurassier in the end.

Line 2 - light tanks with autocanons. Here is tanks that have tiny calibers with high RPM. At the end of the line there are ASCOD LT-105 machines.

Line 3 - SPAAGs. As usually, a SPAAG line with unique anti-air vehicles. And M42A1 Duster, of course.

Line 4 - tank destroyers. Recoilles rifles, mortars, ATGMs - this line has many interesting and nice to play vehicles.

Some words about my tech tree.

At first, I tried avoiding too many copies - and that is why not all the Austrian tanks might be here (for example, I avoided some import tanks like non-modernized M47).

All the BRs are approximate (or can be totally wrong), and were set as for arcade mode.

All the shown premium tanks can be implemented as available for purchase for Lions, pack specials or any others.

I expect Landsverk L-60O and Steyr Prototyp to be the Reserve tanks.

Also there are only 5 tanks on rank 2 and 3, but it does not go against the game system of research: China has only 5 necessary vehicles to research on rank 2, and same for Italy on rank 3.

Vehicle count:

Rank 1: 7 (for research) + 0 (premiums)

Rank 2: 5

Rank 3: 5 + 2

Rank 4: 6 + 2

Rank 5: 6 + 1

Rank 6: 9 + 1

Rank 7: 4

Total: 48 vehicles (42 without premiums)

Here is the vehicle list with all the tank pictures, but only some of them has a description. You can access decent sources for all other tanks from my site (I will also answer all the questions regarding my tree if you have any!).

I wasn't expecting an Austrian tech tree. I thought Austria didn't have as many vehicles.

Austria speaks German, and is almost identical to Germany. It's weird that those two countries didn't unify yet.

They tried multiple times but each time they did some foreign powers broke them up instead of minding their own business. For example in post WW I the Allied Treaty of Versailles prevented the Republic of German-Austria from joining Germany. In post WW II the Allied Third Moscow Conference broke them up after they finally unified.

The Austrian TT should be paired with either the Swiss and/or the Nordic countries since Austria was a neutral country since 1920 (with a hiatus between 1938 & 1955) and stayed neutral until 1995 and like the Nordic countries, Austria joined the EU/becoming a Non-NATO ally(PfP more specifically). Also the Austrians shared a lot of the same equipment that the Nordic countries and Switzerland used.

Also I suggest that you add the AMX-13, Charioteer and M60 Patton since Austria operated said tanks.

I really don't think this would work on it's own, I think it would be better to have an Austrian-Swiss tree. Mostly because of the lack of air forces. (it goes from 1.0/2.0 planes to 6.7 planes, trust me I've done the research) But @PikPikker if you make an Austrian-Swiss tree proposal, I will be there to supplement it with my tree.

Austria for sure, but Switzerland? Swiss has enough machines for its own tech tree.

Well Switzerland has a vehicle count between Sweden and South Africa. And Gaijin have said in the past that they may put other nations into the Italian Tech Tree.

Italy currently have Romenia represented in a minor way. And i won't be suprised that a Swiss Tree would be added to Italy and the reasoning behind being that Italy switched sides multiple times in the first half of the 20th century and Italian is 1 of 4 official languages in Switzerland. And that Switzerland can't have a Independent Naval Tree and that Switzerland was Neutral.

So i see that as the most likely scenario. Even though i guess it would rustle some jimmies in certain part of the War Thunder Communnity.

How about no.

I agree with this, and after polling Swiss and Austrian friends of mine they think a Swiss-Austrian tree would be the best way of doing it, as they're both economically, and politically tied closely.
