Hello, I'm going to suggest adding ASEAN to the game, and here is ASEAN Ground Forces Tech Tree:

https://pikpikker.neocities.org/asean_wt.html

This is my own site where you can enlarge every picture and click any tank to read about it!

The tree as a picture:

Spoiler

asean.png

ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising ten countries in Southeast Asia. Such union gives us a lot of new vehicles which hardly can enter the game another proper way. You read about ASEAN here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_Southeast_Asian_Nations

There are 10 countries which are part of ASEAN (and how many tanks they offer):

1) Brunei [BN] - 1 tank

2) Cambodia [KH] - 3 tanks

3) Indonesia [ID] - 18 tanks

4) Laos [LA] - 1 tank

5) Malaysia [MY] - 3 tanks

6) Myanmar [MM] - 1 tank

7) Philippines [PH] - 3 tanks

8) Singapore [SG] - 11 tanks

9) Thailand [TH] - 19 tanks

10) Vietnam [VN] - 15 tanks

Caution! This tree breaks time frames in the game, because here is post-war vehicles everywhere, even on ranks 1 and 2.

Now I will give a little review on each line.

Line 1 - medium tanks. Most of them are modifications, but this is not making them less interesting.

Line 2 - light tanks with nice calibers.

Line 3 - tanks with autocanons. The line starts with tracked SPAAGs and then goes to IFVs, and almost all of them have automatic guns.

Line 4 - tank destroyers. This line os SPGs mostly consists of howitzers, but also there are ATGMs and mortars.

Line 5 - SPAAGs. As usually, a line of indigenous SPAAGs. And they all from different countries.

Some words about my tech tree.

At first, I tried avoiding too many copies - and that is why not all the ASEAN tanks might be here.

All the BRs are approximate (or can be totally wrong), and were set as for arcade mode.

All the shown premium tanks can be implemented as available for purchase for Lions, pack specials or any others.

I expect Retrofit TNI-AD/Polri and Type 81 to be the Reserve tanks.

Vehicle count:

Rank 1: 8 (for research) + 1 (premiums)

Rank 2: 9 + 2

Rank 3: 9 + 2

Rank 4: 7 + 2

Rank 5: 8 + 2

Rank 6: 13 + 1

Rank 7: 11

Total: 75 vehicles (65 without premiums)

Here is the vehicle list with all the tank pictures, but only some of them has a description. You can access decent sources for all other tanks from my site (I will also answer all the questions regarding my tree if you have any!).

I only have one question Singapore and Malaysia both commonwealth member nations would they not find a better place in a Commonwealth tech tech tree?

I would argue that they wouldn't. Those countries are more related to their neighbors, than an obsolete colonial master that's 1000s of kilometers away.

You mean despite the fact the commonwealth is one of the biggest family's of interconec nations and is one of the few organisations like it that have managed to weather the test of time?

This is probably more political, so it's spoilered.

Spoiler

The Commonwealth organization really has no meaning geopolitically. The UK is no longer the geopolitical and diplomatic and military powerhouse that it used to be before the 1950s. It's not even as strong as it once was in the 1980s.

For example, back in the day, Britain and France were very heavily involved in the middle east, and in Syria and all those other sort of places. Now, they are no where to be found, and it is Russia and China and Turkey and America and Iran which play a dominant role in the middle east.

The Commonwealth is really only alive in name. Even in British politics, the beurocratic and political systems are so old and outdated, that it's taken them over 5 years to get Brexit done. The true empire is long gone.

Whenever you go to Southeast Asian countries, or to their embassies, you always see the ASEAN flag next to the member countries flag. You do not see the Commonwealth flag

I remember walking past the embassy of Singapore maybe a month ago. And I saw the ASEAN flag next to the flag of Singapore. It wasn't the Commonwealth flag, but the ASEAN flag.

That's why adding ASEAN makes sense, over the Commonwealth.

My dude, I know Battlin' Basic is an iconic M4 Sherman for the Philippines campaign, but that's not a Filipino M4 Sherman. There are literally other images you can use to represent the Filipino M4 Sherman.

good suggestion but i suggest you make another suggestion post about ASEAN Air force, Naval and Helicopter tech tree since gaijin is usually skip a country/ group of country that didn't have vehicle to fill rank from BR 1.0-10.3 in each tech tree branch (example IRL israel might had 1.0 to 10.3 AFV but they didn't have aircraft to fill BR 1.0-3.0 and the same thing also apply to north and south korea nation tech tree even if you can put south korea vehicle in japan tech tree, that decision can create backlash from japanese WT Community) there's a lot of vessel, aircraft and helicopter of ASEAN nation that can be added to the tech tree from BR 1.0-10.3 like From Siam air force Curtis Hawk III to Indonesian air force MiG-21 F-13, Siamese Navy Ratanakosindra class gunboat to Indonesian Navy Sverdlov class, KRI Irian (201), and lastly Vietnam Air force Mi-8 to Indonesian Army Aviation AH-64E Guardian.

P.S Perhaps in near future i'll gonna post my version of ASEAN Airforce, Navy and Helicopter tech tree in this thread also your tech tree suggestion need some adjustment since there is some vehicle that useless for WT Meta.

I would suggest adding the M41GTI for your tree. It was a modernization package for the Royal Thai Army from Germany which consisted of a new 442 hp MTU MB 833 AA501 engine, thermal sights for the gunner, laser rangefinder, two-plane stabilization and a coaxial HK21 machine gun.

Not sure why the T-84 Oplot-T and VT-4 which are both MBT is in the light tank line, and why BTR-3E1 which is an IFV equipped with ATGMs is in the SPAAG line.

Anyway here are some extra vehicles operated by Thailand.

It’s a good idea for Gaijin to add more Trees but I don’t think adding Tree by Coalition is a good idea. The reasons being is that some countries in ASEAN like Cambodia and Laos have a weak militaries. ( I’m sure that you know this ) two or more militaries combined can overcome enemies together but there’s a disadvantage to this it’s like the phrase "Russian Biased" but in one Tree. Like how some countries only have one tank ( based on your configuration ). This may offend some people ( Of the War Thunder Community ) from countries that have weak militaries that their country have low numbers of vehicles in the ASEAN Tree. So it’s probably best if Gaijin just add one Tree based on Country rather than Coalition.

I think having one tank from a small country that didn't have many tanks is still better than having 0 tanks from that small country.

Thailand was one of the countries which used the Harrier. The ASEAN tech tree would be one of the few tech trees with VTOL aircraft.

I kinda agree with having 1 Tank is better than having no Tank but having VTOL Aircraft are not an advantage.
