You ARE aware that the Skyflash SuperTEMP in-game is barely better than the base R-27R right? That means a few things for this whole "BVR" argument.

1. Considering the fact that we have no real way to ID jets in BVR besides the enemy nations in a match currently, the Tornado would still not be that well off in a BVR fight since you'd still have to assume you were dealing with a more capable aircraft with more capable missiles than your own, seeing as unless you were playing vs a team with no possible AIM-7F/M or AIM-54's, you'd have to assume that was the threat engaging you (presuming you are doing BVR threat assessment correctly).

2. The MiG-29's performance advantages in acceleration, climb, and top speed over the Tornado F.3 would make up, and likely exceed the difference between the SuperTEMP and the R-27R anyways, as itd be able to impart more kinetic energy to its missiles than you.

The issue with the Tornado F.3 isn't that the MiG-29 has better BVR missiles than it. The issue is that its a plane designed to excel at low altitude penetration of enemy airspace, but was shoehorned into the role of an interceptor by shoving a better radar into it and strapping on a few new missiles. The F.3 should've been added back when the MLD was added, its just much too late to the game.

The only change swapping R-27ER's for R-73's would do for the Tornado would give it roughly equal footing in BVR, at the expense of the entire BR spread being ***** by the massive advantage the Russian teams would gain in WVR, as well as just general chaos from the increased threat density.

Right, so either we need to drop the Tornado F3 down to 11/11.3 where it belongs or we need to give the tornado F3 A chance. At the moment, it has literally 0 chance in any fight vs almost anything at 11.7/12

Thats why I believe to go towards the next step in missiles, like AIM-120/R-77/R-73, the maps need to change. More geographical features to break LOS, EC sized maps to lower the number of players in 1 spot at any one time, maybe some more objectives of more airfields to further split players up. The goal isnt to never have these missiles added, or to nerf them cuz theyre too strong. I want to see these missiles added in all their glory as well, but pretending like the R-73 or AMRAAM wouldnt break the game rn is just disengenuous.

I play exclusively sim, BVR engagements only ever happen with 15km of each other, and you still get constant furballs. As it currently stands. Mig-29 dominates Sim and not a lot anyone can do anything about it without engaging the mig-29s in 2 or even 3 vs 1 scenarios. Tornado F3s only hope is to catch one distracted. But it sucks. pretty much completely given up with that EC bracket and gone down to 10.7 in the sea harrier because at least I stand a slim chance at that BR

If R-73s are added can't they add similarish missiles to other nations? They are not the same sure but I would put them at least in the next step for ir missiles things like AIM-9M, Python 3, AAM-3 etc...

yes they can, for sure and i see no problem with that. Too naive are some who think that the R-73 would break the game right now, the maps are bigger now, how much bigger do they want them to be??? , the size of the map as it is is ideal for introducing new IR missiles of greater range and better performance, with respect to the AIM-120 and the R-77 are missiles that although they are of active guidance, have even lower range and are slower than the R-27ER, so I don’t know what the problem is with introducing such missiles into the current meta. they need to stop complaining about and let the game evolve, but as more time passes more monotone and boring is going to become as it is right now, there is no variety of weaponry, no variety of missiles, the rest of the nations like for example Israel that have their own set of missiles for their planes does not have them, and it is just something unique of Israel and would give it some exclusivity.

and get it out of your head that missiles like the AIM-9M or the Python 3 cannot compete with the R-73, because they do not have the same characteristics and performance, or because the R-73 tends to have more initial maneuverability and other gaps, because it is the opposite, each missile competes with other missiles in its measure and that does not mean that it is bad or useless before another with certain characteristics that the other missile does not have, you! including me! , we need to understand the type of missile we’re carrying on our planes and use it when we really have to use them and the proper way to use them and not do what many of the top tier players I see rolling missiles like a subnormal do, get used to that with the arrival of these missiles, all!!! absolutely all! we are going to have to modify and perfect a different style of gameplay that we are accustomed to now and it is normal and I see it right, the game has to evolve and we as players have to evolve too, we can not be a lifetime with missiles like the R-60/60M, AIM-9L, AIM-9J/P/D/H/G, AIM-7s, R-24s, prehistoric radars, etc

In the HMS file you uploaded , it is said that the radar antenna can be slaved to HOTAS .

What do you think?

In what sense? There are controls that allow the pilot to adjust the heading offset and super-elevation of the radars searched volume, the thing with the later variants of the Teen series, this is abstracted into actual elevation limits of the scanned volume, instead of antenna train angle.

Of course thing aren't quite there yet for WT, though with the somewhat recent alternate radar control schema, things are almost to that level, though there is yet to be a Boresight command implemented which makes rapid responses difficult, and I don't think that the IR missile search patterns could be otherwise slewed without the radar / HMMCS to provide slaving, or otherwise a manually input scan offset, though their various search patterns are also no implemented.
