Hello, I'm going to suggest adding Brazil as a new nation to the game, and here is Brazilian Ground Forces Tech Tree:

https://pikpikker.neocities.org/br_wt.html

This is my own site where you can enlarge every picture and click any tank to read about it!

The tree as a picture:

Spoiler

br_wt.png

Originally I was planning the Latin American tech tree, but when I saw Argentinian independent tech tree I understood Brazil has to be independent too. And after my research I found pretty enough vehicles for a decent and interesting TT, not worse than French or Italian one. There is a variety of indigenous vehicles and only a few clones for lower tiers. One more reason for Brazil to be outside Latin American group is that Brazil's language is Portugal while all other countries have Spanish as official language.

Now I will give a little review on each line.

Line 1 - tracked light and medium tanks. While the line starts with a bunch of "copy-paste" tanks on ranks 1-2, it also has lots of new vehicles starting from rank 3 and higher. There are light tanks based on M3 Stuart, M41 Walker Bulldog and medium tanks of indigenous designs.

Line 2 - wheeled light tanks and tank destroyers. Brazilian wheeled tanks are even more interesting than the tracked ones. The line starts with Brazilian 4x4 versions of M8 Greyhound which later become the famous Cascavel which versions start from early rank 2 and appear almost on every rank including the last one. There are also well-known armored cars like EE-3 Jararaca, EE-11 Urutu, EE-17 Sucuri and EE-18 Sucuri II.

Line 3 - SPAAGs. Brazilian TT gives us only 4 new SPAAG vehicles, but with clones this is enough for complete anti-air branch.

Some words about my tech tree.

At first, I tried avoiding too many copies - and that is why not all the Brazilian tanks might be here.

All the BRs are approximate (or can be totally wrong), and were set as for arcade mode.

All the shown premium tanks can be implemented as available for purchase for Lions, pack specials or any others.

I expect M8 Greyhound and VBB-1 (1st Prototype) to be the Reserve tanks.

Vehicle count:

Rank 1: 7 (for research) + 2 (premiums)

Rank 2: 6 + 1

Rank 3: 5 + 1

Rank 4: 5 + 3

Rank 5: 9 + 4

Rank 6: 7 + 2

Rank 7: 3

Total: 55 vehicles (42 without premiums)

Here is the vehicle list with all the tank pictures. You can access decent sources for all tanks from my site (I will also answer all the questions regarding my tree if you have any!).

Brazil is not like other Latin American countries, in that Brazil speaks Portuguese and not Spanish. Brazil also used to be a Portuguese colony, and not a Spanish colony. In a way, Brazil doesn't fit with other Latin American countries.

I think it would make more sense having a mixed Portuguese/Brazilian tech tree, since both countries speak the same language and used to be part of the Portuguese Empire.

And something very interesting and the fact that Brazil has been fighting in Italy in the second war, hence the name of the update could be 'The snake will smoke' and also for presenting American and German tanks I believe this facilitates the creation of this line of research

My comment is suspicious because I say this as a crazy Brazilian to see national tanks in the game kkkkk

https://pikpikker.neocities.org/br_wt.html

Yes, Brazil was a colony, but even speaking Portuguese, you can hear the difference in the language, because in Brazil Tupi (Indigine) was mixed with Portuguese, not to mention that in the 70s, Brazil through bankrupt engineering and other companies made Brazil the 5 largest belligerent sportsman mainly for the middle east as the carcass

Two more people and I worked hard on the Brazilian tree. Brazil can enter the game, yes, it has more than 55 vehicles.

You need to repair some vehicles in that tree, an example of which is the VBTP-MR Guarani, there is still no version of your tank destroyer. The VBTP-MR Guarani is manufactured in my state

Brazil also has a good collection of military planes, though not as early as other nations. Brazil had military planes just before WW2. We should also create an post here a proposal of Brazil's aircraft tech tree

I would again reiterate my support for a combined Latin American tree. The problem with Brazil is going to come with its naval and air trees. It has one battleship class along with only two useful cruisers suited for the meta. Its air tree is going to contain many "copy/paste" material that I believe most players would like to avoid, mixing them with say Argentina would promote more domestic diversity as opposed to the alternative. I'm not against a Brazilian tech tree but the scale needs to be revised before its implementation.

Brazil actually made many variations of vehicles, mainly the m41, such as the B and C, which was from the navy, also has the leopard version 1a1 br that has thermal vision, but I don't think a South American research line worked because the other nations have made many variants of vehicles from abroad or national versions, such as the TAM that is at stake, and the South American line would present the T-72B as 2a5 oil and anti-German and Russian oil and German that would come out in my opinion it is very large and operational, because it brings together several good tanks from different nations

The problem of copying and pasting did not happen with China, since most of the aircraft and tanks are from other nations, since Brazil has a very large land force and joining with nations like Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia, the South American line would have easy over 100 vehicles from the t72b aou leopard 2a5

EE-9 Cascavel TORC 30 should be 10.0 or 9.7. He uses the same gun as the IFV PUMA.  If his arrow ammo((APFSDS)) has 150 pen. It will be devastating just like the Swedish IFVs and faster.

Same for VBTP-MR Guarani... if the arrow ammo ((APFSDS)) have 150 pen.. 9.3...9.7. 10.0.

Brazil is one of the few latin american country who fought in WW II, they declared war in 1942 and fought mostly in Italy. They sent army, navy and air force. Brazil was neutral until german uboats sank around 20 brazilian ships, killing over 500 civilians, similar to how Mexico entered the war. Other than Brazil, the most important countries were Panama, cause Panama Canal, and Mexico for logistics.

As for the tech tree, Brazil has been using mostly US and German tech other than original Brazilian tech. MBTs consists mostly of Leopard 1A5, Leopard 1A1 and M60s. Brazil has made its own versions and upgrades to these tanks. It also has Gepards and a bunch of other M like the M109. Their favourite american tank of all times is the M113, which was also the cornerstone for the brazilian-made tanks. Brazilian-made tanks are all amphibious wheeled light tanks, anti tanks and SPGs, 30mm or 105mm. They are very popular in Middle-Eastern countries. Brazilian's specialty are highly versatile fast tanks.

Brazilian navy is very mixed, with british, german, french, american, italian and brazilian ships. They have used mostly british ships and tech as a base for their own designs as well. As for submarines, they used italian ones before WW II then switched to american ones. Now they design their submarines in cooperation with germany and france. Mostly recent brazilian tech for weapons in general are made in cooperation with germany and france.

Helicopter tech comes from France, US and Germany. Made-in-brazil ones are variations of models from other countries, mostly France. So not one 100% brazilian heli. Like the navy, there's a lot of tech cooperation with France and Germany for future projects and upgrades.

Planes: Modern ones were made by Embraer, which failed to be bought by Boeing in 2020. It is still the most successful manufacturer in Brazil, having sold planes to the air forces of US, UK, France, and latin american countries. Their manufacturing focus are light fighters and transport planes. Their most recent foreign acquisition are the swedish F-39 Gripen. Before that, US planes were favored. In WW II they used the P-47. After that they switched to the british Gloster Meteor, then the americans F80 and JT3D/TF33. Next were the italian MB326 and the french Dassault Mirage III. Finally they bought Northrop F-5 which were upgraded in 2013 and are still active. After that they bought Embraer's planes, one of which was produced alongside the italians Aermacchi and Alenia, the AMX ground support series. Finally they fell for the swedish saab gripens. The purchase of the swedish fighters is part of a big corruption scandal, just like every government purchase in Brazil.

Now that I think about it, Brazil could easily be home for other south american designs, like a premium Chilean M60 would be interesting, perhaps a combined SA tree?

I still think that Portugal and Brazil have a very close cultural bond.

And the Portuguese accents of Brazil and Portugal are very close.
