G-5 TKA 106 Naming Issues

Recently, a new event boat, the G-5 TKA 106, was added to War Thunder. However, there are some issues with its name and appearance.

 

ISSUE 1 - NAMING

 

This boat received 2 names during its lifetime, No. 106 and TK-412. It was completed & launched in 1943 at the No. 639 Shipyard in Tyumen. Back then, Soviet vessels were simply known by a number, without any letter prefixes. On 23 February 1944, a renaming of all vessel was introduced, which added prefixes such as "TK", "MO" and more to identify such boats to a certain class. TK stood for "Торпедные катера" (Torpediye Katera), or torpedo boat. The original No. 106 was renamed to TK-412.

In Soviet Navy At War 1941-1945, it is stated that Motor Torpedo Boat 106 (Moskovskiy Remeslennik), also referred to as No. 106, was named TK 412 from 23 Feb. 1944. (Page 27)

In Торпедные Катера Серии Г-5, No. 106 is named exactly as such, No. 106 (Page 42-43)

 

ISSUE 2 - APPEARANCE

 

There is one major flaw, and that is in the number printed on the side of the boat. It says "TK-106", when it should in fact say "TK-412".

The "TK-412" can be seen, although at atn extreme angle. The text "Moskovskiy Remeslennik", unique to the boat, can be seen, confirming its identity as the original No. 106.

On the top right, a photo of No. 106 can be seen, with the inscription, and without the letters "TK" preceding it. The photo is dated to 1943, as is appropriate given that it was named No. 106 during that time. Also note the lack of the rocket installation.
