Penguinonice27 21 Report post Posted August 21, 2020 I plan on selling the tiger coupon at the end of the event and using gj coin from the sale to buy a premium jet, Ive been thinking about getting the Sea Hawk mk. 100 to grind german top tier as i own a little under a 5th of tier v. The missiles and the fact its an 8.0 so i don't have to be as competitive as at a higher br are appealing in addition to being a nice ground attack and carrier based jet. But ive heard that 8.7 sucks in planes from other br's since there is a hard cap at 9.7 meaning 9.7 supersonic s and others are funneled into a full downier. Opticatoll 61 Report post Posted August 21, 2020 (edited) Not only is there a soft cap at 9.7, but there's also one at 7.3, meaning that 7.3 planes (almost) never get uptiered; 7.7/8.0 is pretty much no man's land at the moment. Opticatoll 61 Report post Posted August 21, 2020 Depends on which premium 8.0; I don't know how the Sea Hawk Mk. 100 performs, but it gets AIM-9, so there's that. DarthPootis 31 Report post Posted August 22, 2020 (edited) Hello Penguinonice27, The Sea Hawk Mk.100 is a jet with Good energy retention, and of course it gets AAM missiles. It can also carry bombs so that's great, Strong 4x 20mm cannons. But however Air to air AIM-9B missiles are quite ineffective against maneuvering targets, and it has no combat flaps so you are going to have a hard time dogfighting other jets. But like Opticatoll said you will be put in 8.7-.9.0 battles. Which means you will be mostly fighting against Mig-15's and F86-sabre's so the Sea Hawk Mk.100 is food for them. I recommend you to: buy premium time it is much better because you also get bonuses and you can grind other jets too. That's how i got more then 20+ jets haha Thank you and have a nice day/night! I own up to the a5 sabre, me 262, and thats about it ? but i understand jet combat. I know how you have longer more drawn out dogfights with larger turns, you avoid lateral turn by any means necessary and turn to gain or conserve energy. I know jets have horrid acceleration but good top speed. Im not an idiot on the subject, i just dont have hundreds of games in them. The reason why i considered the sea hawk an option of what to get is because its not a super high br, like 9,3, its only 8.0 so players im facing would be at or somewhat under my skill level, The idea of the aam is to take out people who are low energy or arent situationaly aware. Hello Penguinonice27, I agree don't sell your f11 yet as it might increase in value in a couple of months. People will no doubt be rushing to sell them so i'd save it for later if you fully want to sell it. or use it if you got a lineup at that BR, you don't want to go with 9.0 with Shermans for example However at that BR with the F11 i think the only big threat is lightning, everything else you just outrun. But i didn't think about its speed is only matched by the lightning, i normally prefer mannueverable stuff over pure speed, i might use the coupon after they fix the bugged roll rate.
