ATTENTION: Mac system requirements are changing with "New Power": macOS 10.15 and later

To prepare for the upcoming "New Power" patch and the new Dagor 6 engine, it is important to upgrade to the current macOS 10.15 "Catalina".

This is now the officially supported minimum specifications on Macintosh.

 

Also insure you are using "Metal" API, not the depreciated OpenGL.

 

If you are encountering any issue, please check in the Bug Reports section if there is EXISTING REPORT, or post a new bug report ASAP.

Must include system specs and CLOG, or macOS crash file from game.

Problem is that macOS 10.15 Catalina does not support 32bit app.

 

Since I must use a few 32bit apps for my job, this update will end my war thunder life . So sad.

 

Why don't you just leave OpenGL and previous MacOS option for players like me.

Exactly the same here.

I've been really happy and have had a lot of fun since I selected Metal instead of OpenGL, it has increased my FPS and else under Mojave but yesterday I downloaded the last patch and now the game quits at every single launch. Then I went on the Mac WT forum and figured out that only Catalina will run the game from now...
You know that Catalina is very unliked because of the 32/64 bits app issues. I won't install it because some of my important softwares won't be supported by Catalina and don't have any currently replacement.

 

So it means that playing War Thunder is over for me. Thank you very much Gaijin and good bye.

Understood, and I am sorry it is end of line too.

Our Mac also will no longer support WT even if I do install 10.15

 

It was inevitable for WT to be competitive with other games. 

I was not the one to decide this move.
