See Bug Reports to find that info.

Query, is it indeed planned that WT will be supported on M1 (and subsequent Apple ARM based chips) going forward ?

I'm due a new Mac and was planning to wait for an M1/M2 (whatever they call the non-thermally throttled version) in a 27" iMac. So would be relieved to know that Gaijin is converting the Mac version to the new environment, or not ? Thanks

At this point, it is way to early.  What @AndyCALL tells us will be a big on future decision.

@AndyCALL

would you please just provide the CLOGS files?

from gaming tests on the M1 Macs it seems that the MacBook might be capable to play war thunder on high Settings! So it would be vital for gaijin to identify and fix the issue.

Someone on Reddit tested X-Plane 11 on the M1 MacBook Air and got 40fps at high settings at 2560x1600 with multiple anti-aliasing options enabled. At the same time, it's running via Rosetta 2, so it's not even optimized for ARM yet.

War Thunder could easily run at Maximum or even Movie knowing it's less demanding than X-Plane.

One day, I want a 16-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon that can run WT at Movie graphics at native screen resolution at 60fps.

macOS needs a good combat flight simulator. The last high-end Intel Macs (16" MacBook Pro and 27" iMac) are very capable of playing IL-2 Sturmovik, DCS World, and Falcon BMS in Boot Camp, but now you cannot play them on the ARM Macs for now and probably for a long time. War Thunder running natively on Apple Silicon would help to fill that gap significantly. No currently developed good combat flight sim is on Mac aside from WarBirds. Rortos games are on Mac App Store but are garbage in terms of physics. Same with Sky Gamblers series. Don't know if Carrier Landing HD (the most DCS-like mobile game on iOS) is even allowed to run on these new Macs.

So @AndyCALL please do this because macOS, iOS, and iPadOS all deserve better than what they have right now in the combat flight simulation genre.

CLOG FILE PLEASE!

Nothing will happen unless a CLOG file from WT is attached here.

Well...you can always say the community is in an uproar and ask Gaijin to buy YOU a brand new Macbook Air with M1 chip... :lol2:

For testing purposes only of course...but you have to take it home to test in detail :secret:

does Gaijin have any plan to make War Thunder fully compatible with new Mac laptop with M1 chips? or it did? thanks a lot!

Apple will move to M1, so Gaijin will have to to keep thousands of Mac players (a sizeable community).

Issue may be Apple side, possible the next version of Big Sur 11.1 will fix

Finally.

ARM-based Macs could have a new combat flight sim that's playable.

Carrier Landing HD won't do for now on these devices because it's an iOS app that only supports touchscreen controls and requires iOS devices' tilt control.

If the Apple Silicon crash is fixed, this will be a historic moment in Mac gaming.

I meet all the requirements, except the video card, with is the following: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB, could that be the cause of the issue?

I would wait until Apple makes even better SoCs.

In 2-3 years, we could see a MacBook Air that can run War Thunder very smoothly at Movie settings at 60fps.

When the first ARM 16-inch comes out, it should run this game at at least Maximum settings for sure.

I just got the new MacBook a few days ago, hoping to play some WarThunder, but when I tried to open it, the game froze.

Everything works fine except when the actual game loads.
