Badass_Jellykin 11 Report post Posted November 17, 2020 (edited) I am currently trying to upgrade to macOS Catalina in an effort to get a functioning version of WT on this machine. At the moment following the release of macOS Big Sur I am unable to find a place to get an upgrade to Catalina, as this is now the requirement for WT I was wondering if anyone had access to a reliable bona-fide link to get it? At present I’m running Mojave, having just upgraded from High Sierra in preparation. With the widely reported issues of many users upgrading to Big Sur I’m reluctant to do it just yet, as is always the case with fresh versions of macOS. This is what I've tried so far: When using the “Software Update” tool in System Preferences only Big Sur is an option. On the Apple website only Big Sur is available under Mac/macOS with a link for Updating. When looking on the App Store app directly Big Sur is available and if I then search for any other macOS versions by name nothing comes up, and nothing comes up when looking for more options from Apple as a vendor. Using the following link https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683 brings up a page with supposed links to previous versions, which would seem helpful and often essential for many reliant on apps that can’t quite jump through to the newest macOS. However none of the links successfully work when they get to the App Store app itself, each time giving the message "Cannot Connect to App Store”. I’ve left feedback and opened a topic about the last point on the Apple community discussions board: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252054005 If anyone has any help with this I’d much appreciate it and if I get a useful reply to the discussion board I’ll be sure to share it here. Cheers all, and those who've got a working solution, I hope you're enjoying the new release! Apple is now getting everyone to go to 11, which is annoying. (Can you Mac run Big Sur? may be better Cat is somewhere, but needs more work to find. MEANWHILE: All your apps good for Cat? 32bit ends with Mojave.

Badass_Jellykin 11 Report post Posted November 17, 2020 @Pony51 Apps should be okay, thanks, I did a census of all I actually use nowadays on the machine itself and it should be good. As this is a machine I use for work the official view at the moment is not to leap onto Big Sur just yet, so I won't risk a telling-off. Before COVID it would have been a problem being on-site and having to directly work with systems reliant on 32bit apps, now if I need it I'll just remote to another machine that can. If it ever does come up when things go back to normal (heh) I was going to run the neccessary version on a paritition, would that be a solution for others who have machines that can run Cat but can't run mission critical apps on it? Provided they have the space of course.

I believe a partition or boot drive will work OK. (I think a Mac is not irrevocably stuck to latest OS) BTW< does the Launcher still show option for OpenGL? If does, could you post a Screen shot? Thanks! 40 minutes ago, SIYCO said: And just like that you ended a lot of peoples playing of warthunder.......... well done How it is (honestly still amazed I can run WT on my system) Anyone still run an Smartphone made 6 years ago? Family iMac, I run to test the game, not actively play on it. Yes, I cannot run WT anyone on iMac (it did run it fine when it did.)
