Constant crash-to-desktop in latest build


Picked up a minor update this morning and now I get constant crash-to-desktop. I can re-enter the game fine, but 50/50 that it will happen again same match.

 

I made no changes to settings, which were working fine yesterday.

 

There is no crash log and the CLOG is not being closed. Suggestions on debugging?

I’ve been getting the last same thing for the last several days.  Completely random crashes during battle, then instant crash most of the time when I try to rejoin the battle.  Occasionally it works to get back in, but it’s gotten worse today.  I haven’t been able to finish a match all the way through.  
 

Real waste of premium account time, unfortunately.

Same problem here since a few days. It's almost impossible to play the game. Game crashed or freezes in almost every single battle I play. Like Wendsill says: it's getting to the point where you could wonder if playing is still viable....

I have the same problem since yesterday's update, it crashes the game looks like it is somewhat widespread. I thought it was something from my game, but what I read here goes further and it's Gaijin's problem. I hope you can fix it soon.

Same here. Even before entering a battle or from the hangar, crash to desktop without previous error message.

This way you can not play! I hope it is fixed asap and Gaijin premium compensates lost me my days.

Gaijin should compensate his PREMIUM players for these kinds of failures, otherwise I will give a lot of thought to spending my money again.

I think that War Thunder players with MAC are of a lower category, I suppose because we are a minority.

Same here, constant random crashes. They need to fix this soon, game is pretty much unplayable because of it.

Well isn't just me then, nice to know, hasn't been constant but been dropped randomly a few times the last few days. Really sucks when you are on a good killing spree and lose everything including that 300% booster.........

 

Oh and for what's it worth mine's a pc so it's system wide not just platform specific.

OK guys, try this on the Mac: Right click on WT-launcher, open package. Then look for the WT application, right click on it and open the information window of the app. Then select 'open in low quality' or so (i have it in german) . It helped on my iMac 2017, Catalina. Less crashes, and no fps drops.

I am also having the same problem on my MacBook (big sur). I had one match that was stable after switching from ULQ to low graphics, but then it crashed again.

 

I suggest everyone to submit bug reports and your clog files - you don’t have to have the error message after crash to generate the clog. The clog is always created as long as the game launched I think.
