StGefr_Welak 8 Report post Posted November 26, 2020 (edited) I have been a War Thunder player for 8 years. The only thing I regret is that I spent too much time in the arcade mode. When I finally did move up to SM and RM. I developed “bad” habits that needed broken. The War Thunder experience opens up when you move up. So to new players I recommend learning the basic mechanics and move up early. Some of the things you will learn moving up is as follows 1. Learn the maps. Your enemy will be hidden and you need to learn the terrain 2. Believe it or not the most under used item is the Binoculars. It has three uses. Spotting targets as a scout, Ranging targets while you remain hidden and looking at the terrain for enemy BEFORE you drive thru the area. 3 Using your main Gun . It’s no longer “point and shoot” You need to find the target get the range . This involves getting into the settings and set up your site. There is many videos on how to do this. I am always getting ranges to areas from where I’m at. I will get the range to a tree or a building . That way if a target shows up I can quickly engage. Also my default range in my gun is 300. That zero sight at 300 is pretty good for most initial surprise engagements So take the leap !! Open up your War Thunder world. You will love it!
