Hit registration is Horrid

I know Im in Australia but come on this game has gotten way worse than when I started playing it,  its like we have no live ammo just blanks, I play other shooters and none are as bad as this.

 

The ping and packet loss numbers lie or their Hit Reg is worse than I thought my best is 270 ping yet it feels like 500 the game is as frustrating as hell, nothing worse than flying rings around somebody and they are bullet proof and I love the head ons where you fly  through each other and continue on you way, the game dont even know , I see loads of people complaining about not getting hits , Im not the best player in town but to get 15 kills in one game and the very next get 3 kills and cant hit anything it doesnt make the game enjoyable at all, after about 4-5 matches Im done and leave.  And 30+ player matches are worse making me think the servers are fragmenting.

 

Tell me what your hit sync is like and what ping you have , Im guessing in this game if your not under 150 youre severely handicapped,

They updated the servers on the 27th.

 

Helped allot when there are no console players. 

 

When there are Play Station players the PL is 15% and more and swings.

 

Because of the PL you can have allot of missed shots.

I'm 4 blocks from the main internet Hub.

 

It doesn't make a difference what server you choose.

 

No PS players = Great Game

one PS player you will ever so often experience a little swing, then goes back to normal

Two PS players 3 to 15% PL and swings

Three PS players and it's a little frustrating as it's 7% to 15% or more. May be temporary freeze.

More than 4 PS players very hard to play as there is 15% to 24% PL swing, temporary freeze for one to two seconds may occur in game

 

The console players can not handle the load of this game.

Hi VT_88 I will keep on eye at that with console players in a match, I noticed the 30+ matches are generally really bad but will watch for consoles.

 

I dont try to cap a Airfield anymore because of it as you will always hit the deck, its like as Im just about to touch down I rubber band into the ground or at best the propeller will hit its like fractured flickers that jerk you here or there, and a lot of enemy are rubber banding around me as I get close to them all of a sudden they start snapping to different positions, I find Im firing all around them trying to see where the server thinks they are its BS when I know I killed them 10 times already, very frustrating to say the least.

 

All I know is its horrible and no joy and its gotten worse, no other shooter I play is anywhere near as bad as War Thunder is for getting hits, I see youtube where some guys have Lan like hit sync pulling instant snap shots while  its a massive handicap for everybody else, there is no consistency like I said can get a high kill match and the next match server is rubbish or it can change mid match , I was a big spender when I started but not now I will not spend any more money on it when its not improving.

I've noticed the exact same thing. Even when I am directly behind an enemy plane, no hits will register. I'm playing one game with good results and the next is horrible. No rhyme or reason to it that I can see, but I surely notice the lack of hits. Some enemy players planes tend to skip/jump ahead of me (one guys plane was transparent, just the frame was visible???) and I was also crashing more on my own (into mountains and the ground) but not from normal compression. Very weird and very frustrating. I'm on a US server, which freezes a lot as well, mainly after updates and any lengthy login downloads. Makes me wonder why I'm still playing, I keep telling myself not to

Yup , since the latest update I'm getting a lot of packet loss issues. The update is awesome , I really like it , but the PL is making the game unplayable. I have had to simply quit during the game due to not being able to actually move in game. I hope something can be done about this

I am on the EU server with usually no PL and a low ping (20-30), but i noticed this as well. In addition mouse movements or keystrokes are sometimes delayed or simply ignored. It´s completely random and usually happens in the worst moment.

Well at least it's good to see it's not just me. I thought it was my net card, or my internet. Frequent PL problems (horrid, as the OP says), and also the hit thing that really had me mystified. I could see the explosions, even pieces falling off the other plane and no credit for it. Or even shooting them down and no credit.

Demn console players.
