tudodmit420 49 Report post Posted January 4, 2021 no, this is not a "rant thread". i am just here ask a question. i think if i crit someone into being nigh uncontrollable then i should get the kill even if he hits the ground 2 minutes later after a 10 kilometers glide. so what is the reasoning behind not crediting players their hard earned reward for clearing the skies? i really want to understand this because to me it makes no sense.
HochgeborenKlown 1,276 Report post Posted January 6, 2021 It is one of the little items gaijin changed for their double events that are not shown in the change log...With 2 events going on I am sure you can guess the reason why... VT_88 342 Report post Posted January 9, 2021 If you are too far away you won't get credit. Also, if another player hits him and does a critical, it over rides yours and they get the assist.
AmigaForever 97 Report post Posted January 20, 2021 (edited) Guess it is only realistic: in real war many times plane crashed much later after being shot up and poor enemy never had a credit (no witness). However, for the sake of historical accuracy there should be credit rewarded when plane is shot up but actually goes to home. It happened even more often. That how Axis aces got their 400+ kills :P Edited January 20, 2021 by AmigaForever

He proceeds to crash into the ground less than 1km from me. No kill. Air RB, nobody else was nearby.

Unless you kill him in 15 seconds the kill will reset and you will not get a kill while other player will ge crash.Bad decision from gaijin but we have to take what we have. But it doesn't even work that way consistently, sometimes I don't even crit a player (thanks to french 7.5mm peashooters) and then 5 mins later I get the kill when they randomly crash. It's just so random which is the most annoying part about it.
AmigaForever 97 Report post Posted January 23, 2021 (edited) agreed now, that something is fishy here. Never happened before. Shot a plane elevators off and it spun into ground, not far from me and just some 30 seconds later it crashed into ground. It was registered as simple crash! No credits! Technically i shot it down 100% by every aspect! PS. sometimes i waited crit plane to crash, especially when BnZ and not wanting to lose high alt advantage by chasing down mortally wounded enemy, but now...i have no choice: it either escapes to its AF or just crashes later and no one gets a kill...
