Mako_Reizei1 275 Report post Posted January 20, 2021 pls correct me if the section i posted it is wrong. so i need to pick whether to grind f104g line or Mig-21 line, so im just asking are the cl-13 worth using at 9.3 and 9.7? or the mig-15bis and mig-19 are way better and enjoyable? i know cl-13 used to be OP but i think its different nowaday, it cant even hit mach 1. I would wait until the planned br changes for jets hit live servers. I am currently researching the MK.6 but I think I will switch to the Mig-19 as it is getting moved down to 9.7. This means they will both share the same br but the Mig just seems much better when looking at the stat cards. Some Mig-21 are being moved down as well and they too seem much better than any Sabre. GregKjr 520 Report post Posted January 23, 2021 (edited) In Arcade air. The sabers are the way to go. The mig15 and 19 are good but the sabers are better at lower alts. The cl13 mk6 and f86k also both get the aim9b. how ever you don't get the r3s or r60 until the mig 21. So if you have the 163 but not the 162 and have any rp in to the first cl totally go for the sabers. however if you have the 162 and any rp into the mig15 then the mig line is for you. you just need to accept you are fighting at missile tier with out missiles of your own until the mig21. So basically cl for low altitude flight performance+aim9b and mig for high altitude flight performance. That is just my opinion tho. i like the mig 19 a lot however, the thing has NO ammo! amazing plane, horrible loadout. i spend a lot of time getting killed waiting for reload. no matter how conservative you are shooting . Mostly youre up against 10.0 BR planes when flying it. Its hard to aim a plane moving mach 1.2 so sometimes you need to hammer on the trigger. all the other 9-10 BR planes have double the ammo, plus Air to air missiles. NOT THE 19! the 21 is amazing! double the ammo plus air to air guided missiles. which i must say, when p[laying arcade mode, it seems like a giant ruiner of the game to imbalanced BR matches. The MiG-19S has enough ammunition, you just need to be accurate with your shots instead of spraying everywhere as though you're in a P-47 with a bank of 12.7mm MGs. I can see how the high level reload can be annoying if you have a lower level crew, but as said, it can be countered by simply having some trigger patience. Not only that, but do you realise that the MiG-21MF has less ammunition than the MiG-19S? The MiG-19S has 210 shells, while the MiG-21MF has 200, plus the GSh-23L on the MiG-21 has a fire rate much faster than the NR-30s. You could actually argue that the MiG-19S has better guns, seeing as how a single shot or two is enough to tear the wing off a plane or detonate the fuel storage, while the GSh-23L cannon on the MiG-21MF suffers from poorer ballistic properties, requiring more lead to hit a target. MiGs are much better than sabres in air ab. MiG-15bis easily beats either cl, and the MiG-19 is arguably the best supersonic in the game.
