M3 Bradley TOW is just not a TOW missile.

The TOW missile is complete dog water on the M3 Bradley, I shot so many tanks with it and it never kills them, it either doesn't penetrate or ricochet's which is not physically possible since TOW missiles detonate on impact so how in God's name can it ricochet? Also tow missiles don't just go through the tank it hits, it would blow the entire front of the tank open and possibly even severing the entire tank in half, why are TOW missiles weaker than tank shells in this game Gaijin?

I mean.. sure, the Bradley in-game isn't that great and the missiles aren't either but damn. I don't mean to insult you here but that's the most over-the-top claim I've seen in a long while here.

The basic TOW (-A) could still bounce more often as the fuse didn't cover the most oblique angles of attack and the penetration power was not that great as it didn't even have a standoff probe yet.

It's a HEAT warhead.. how would it ever "blow the entire front of the tank open and possibly even severing the entire tank in half" except if by "tank" you mean a car? It's going to poke a neat hole in thick RHA plating as it was designed to do, with some shrapnel around the impact, and that's all it would do.

Only problem Bradley has is having generic TOWs, US used I-TOWs by time it got into service, but Gaijin gave it TOW 1 instead. It also has non-existent Bushmaster belts, Bradley doesnt have tracer/HE rounds in it Sabot belt because it is double fed, it is  again double pro-german standard, that Begleit got its cannon feeding fixed, but Bradley didnt.

Perhaps report it correctly?

Maybe because belts are not a historical aspect in game?

The shells are based on their real stats, belt composition is subject to change at will.

Bradley would have to go up to either 8.3 or 8.7 with I-TOWs.

Its already an amazing vehicle at 8.0, would be way too good to stay at 8.0 with those buffs.

So its probably better if Gaijin added a second, later model Bradley with I-TOWs at 8.7, and leave the current one as is at 8.0.

The Bradley we have in game is the Basic M2 variant with just Tows.

The belt configuration can easily be bug reported just get the right sources that specifically mention what you are bug reporting with reliable sources and following the correct guidelines.

The I-tows missing on the other hand can also be bug reported but that's a 50/50 chance it gets passed to the devs because im pretty sure were using the basic M2 Bradley that only used the regular  BGM-71A.

Make sure you get the right documents that mention what year the Bradely adopted the I-Tow or  BGM-71C and you shouldn't have much issue bug reporting it if you follow the guidelines.

I really want to report it, but i dont have military books library at home. Its just, Bradley in all other games like Battlefield 2 or Squad has pure APDS belt, plus from logical standpoint, why would you use HE in anti-vehicle armor piercing belt?

Having HE in APDS belt is just way the devs nerf auto-cannons, simple.

Yes.

@BlazeFlame24

I will see what I can do.

As I don't have the Bradley yet though it would help if you could send me a short video and screenshots showcasing the issue in test drive and the according .clog.

+ IRL it would be absolutely bonkers to have round types with different ballistics in the same belt. You 'd simply miss half of your shots....

What should you do? Lase after each shot :lol2:

Depends on the difference.

When it comes to APDS and HEI difference is high enough to warrant segregation of said ammunition types.

M791 (APDS(-T)) velocity is about ~1345 m/sec while M792(HEI-T) is about ~1100 m/sec. There is no point in combining the two rounds together.

Actually now that we are discussing the 25mm: Last I checked the HEI-T is using the full cartridge weight in-game (500g or so) instead of the 130g of projectile it should so at least the stat card is incorrect.

Bradley is crap

M551 is far better and more capable compared to bradley

Even BMP-1 is much better than bradley

Untill they "fix" M3 it simply will be lackluster. Armour itself should stop 14,5x114 AP round all around, that's about ~50 mm of RHA. In game it cannot stop 12,7x108 AP form 500 meters...

TOW-I ain't gamebreaking at 8.0, while at 8.3 with launcher that need's setting up is lackluster. Higher penetrating HEAT/SABOT means more damage, TOW A sometimes will deal less damage than APCR.

At 8.0 it's better just to use FS-HEAT just for velocity alone. 25 Bushmaster just doesn't make up for those drawbacks, especially with those frankenstein belts.

The bradley is an excellent vehicle when you learn how to use it.

Not only is it excellent, its also a lot of fun to play, so double benefit.

I use it in my 8.7, soon to be 9.0, lineup.

You're way too off, or the aluminum alloy from the Bradley is stronger than steel or you just misread, it is protected all around against regular api 14. 5, but not against the the cermet cored one
