Unfortunately I can not add this to the suggestion due to it not having a proper source :(

The source of this information is very much proper, its all measured from an actual Patria AMV vehicle.

Either in a Finnish/Scandinavian Tree or in the Italian Tech Tree as a premium or event vehicle seeing how it mounts the same turret of the Centauro.

It has no correlation with the Swedish TT if Gaijin doesn't intend to transform it in the Scandinavian Tree.

I mean the engine is swedish

Yeah but generally the vehicle is kinda decided on the origin of the hull and the turret, I mean yeah engine is a piece but there is an whole turret here made by Italy(turret, fcs, gun etc...)

Except you forget they've already stated that they are committed to adding Finnish vehicles as premiums to the Swedish tree... so this goes to Finland. Now, there is a very similar vehicle that could go to Italy called the Rosomak HITFACT which uses the same turret and is based on this same hull but is modified by Poland.

I like when people can't read.

Point being that I already stated that IF Gaijin wasn't going to come out and say that they were going to add finnish vehicles to Sweden, then we could've easily saw this in the ITT(as 50% of the vehicle is italian).

WarThunder isn't only about what tech the nation adopted but also what they've created, Italy for example never adopted neither the Centauro MGS nor the OF-40.

Yeah so my requirement is fullfilled, Gaijin has now made Finland part of the Swedish TT, so I've nothing against it going to Swedish TT. I mean I don't like the idea but sure go on, I'm not going to oppose.
I just wanted to state that an engine against an whole turret isn't a lot.

I definitely get what you are saying, like again for the Rosomak HITFACT which is a Polish version of the Patria AMV with the HITFACT turret. It would be worse than the AMVXP HITFACT because it was based on the original AMV instead of AMVXP but it could still go to Italy for them to have.

Spoiler

Grant Turnbull on Twitter: "Patria's AMVXP 8x8 with Leonardo's HITFACT 120mm turret, essentially a Finnish version of the Italian Centauro… "

Does this make you feel better about not getting the AMVXP HITFACT?

Yeah I mean you already saw my list of possible premiums/event vehicles for the ITT, thing is I just don't like something that peculiar as the HITFACT turret going to another nation. But again I get why and I'm not opposing to this option. I just wish going forward they try to keep the game as unique as possible, for example the Patria was also equipped with HITFIST but I hope they opt for the one with Elbit System's MT30Mk2, just for the sake of variety.

Not to mention the AMV28A seen here.

I think the Patria AMVXP HITFACT is unique enough to make it into the Swedish tree as the hull is pretty different from other designs such as the Centauro, since it's based on a very modern wheeled APC hull. There's nothing else like it in the game now and even with other similar designs they wouldn't really be comparable... this is one of the premier wheeled APCs in the world currently.

I mean unless Patria reveals the AMVXP with another 120mm, there is no other option.
If they were to give Sweden an entire finnish line(not just premiums), they could have AMVXP HITFACT preceded by the AMV with Cockerill's turret:

One thing to point out, that is a Rosomak not a Patria AMV.

Yeah saw it just briefly afterwards, unfortunately sometimes sources state the false.

Anything to look out for so you can distinguish them?

It's pretty tough to distinguish them in most cases. The biggest ways are the camouflage/what turret or weapon system it has. They are mostly identical otherwise because they are simply a Patria AMV manufactured by KTO in Poland using mostly parts imported from Finland. I have noticed one thing though:

Spoiler

Some Rosomaks seem to have this wedge on the front of the upper glacis, quite probably some appliqué armor of some sort:

Here is a Patria AMV image:

Spoiler

Now as I said there is a newer variant called the AMVXP which has improved armor, powerplant, armament capability, and other improvements. It looks like this:

Spoiler

http://www.military-today.com/apc/patria_amv_xp.jpg?ezimgfmt=rs:600x400/rscb3/ng:webp/ngcb3

You can see it gets the wedge at the front but it's a different type than that of the Rosomak, plus the headlights and armor are different as well.

The Polish followed suit and built the Rosomak XP:

Spoiler

Again almost identical to the Finnish one.

But in terms of the HITFACT variants the Finnish one was built on the AMVXP while the Rosomak one was not a XP version but just a normal one, therefore the Finnish version is superior as I said before (in terms of armor and mobility it is much improved).

But overall in terms of identification it's very hard unless you know what weapon system is on it or who is using it. Additionally, there are so many weapon systems and turrets tested on the AMV and Rosomak families that it makes it very hard to know what the heck you are looking at, with very little information on many variants. You can easily tell a normal one from a XP version but it's very hard to tell a AMV from a Rosomak.

If you have more questions let me know or if anything is not clear I can maybe help but also maybe not. :lol2:

Yeah I noticed that addon armor on the Rosomak but not every variant has it unfortunately.
I guess we need a guide to every AMV and Rosomak ever built also there is the Badger but I don't know if you can classify it has another vehicle on it's own.

Yeah Badger is a AMV variant. I think it got a mine protection package and it has a specific turret (with a few variants - command, section, fire support - all based on the same turret) for the IFV variant as well as a unique turret for an anti-tank variant. So you would be able to ID the Badger pretty quickly.
