Caralampio 90 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 Some premium airplanes can only be obtained by joining a squadron. However, when you click on the unit's card, it gives you two options: "Join a Squadron", or "Open" (for 1,000 GE). Question: If I "open" it, will I get it right now no need of a squadron, or do I still need to join a squadron to get it (presumably immediately after joining)? Not really keen on joining a squadron, I fly solo. I know there are squadrons that you join only to get the airplanes, no requisites and no nothing, but then it would be kind of colorful to be flying around with one of those squadrons' tag. Frankly I don't find the planes offered worth the bother, however I might be inclined to shell out 1,000 GE to get them without the hassle. ALIEN109 1,321 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 (edited) Warning : they are not premium vehicles (no SL or RP bonus) If you purchase it with GE you will be able to play it straight away (after training a crew as usual of course) You do not need to be a squadron to use a squadron vehicle Personally I see it as a waste of GE because the other way to obtain it is just by playing There are many "passive" squadron like J4V for example that welcome any player who just want to grind the vehicles. You just join the squadron and that's it. (Maybe you will have to ask the commander to kick an inactive player) No discord, no forum, no interaction with other members, no squadron battles The only condition is playing at least once a month (otherwise if too many players are inactive it will affect the reward of other members) Being in a big squadron with over 100 active members means you will always be able to collect the max cap of 20k squadron RP every 3 days In 128 members squadron, you need 43 % activity to get the 20k squad RP This means you need 43% of 360 so 155 activity points You get 1 point of activity for every 200 normal RP So you just need to grind 31k normal RP in 3 days to get 20k squad RP Can not get this amount ? No problem you will still get squad RP in proportion to your activity It is really worth it to join a squadron. There is absolutely no downside The squadron RP is collected in parallel with normal RP if you want.
