Is there going to be headtracking in PS5 with PS5 HD cam?

Interested as well.

Were you using ps camera on ps4? If so with what result?

I had PS camera on ps4 and it worked great. Easy to fly and turn head with smaller angles ahead with camera tracking and with joystick hat to look backwards fast. Tried also PS4 camera (with PS5 adaptor) on PS5 war thunder but tracking didn't work, so I bought the new PS5 HD Cam which didn't work yet either or I cannot find how to make the tracking work. Cameras themselves have worked fine.

I never got the ps4 camera since so many people said it was bad (fidgety) and required difficult environment (low light). How did you make it work?

Does ps camera also recognizes zoom and pilot head movement (up-down, forward-backward, left-right)?

By the way is game better on ps5 (other than fps and resolution)? Do you also have texture bugs like on ps4 for example?

I think the PS4/5 camera uses a "face recognition" rather then light tracking like most head tracking  versions on PC. Sony would have to get off their high horse on face recognition and program their consoles to use red led tracking so we could use off the shelf, or self made head tracking

In war thunder it worked fine enough. Some head recognition errors here and there while zooming etc. made it frustrating of course when trying to bomb target etc. with zoom and tracking bumped somewhere else randomly. But when it worked it worked well with and without zoom and could move head sideways etc. and track dogfights easily. Sunlight through windows made the most errors of course, but this was just time of the day problem mostly.

PS5 has had it's texture bugs but mostly it's enjoyable to fly with better framerates and graphics. Even the PS5 controller is good enough for dogfighting as Thrustmaster Hotas X didn't work with PS5. Hopefully Hotas 4 works but still haven't got that confirmed anywhere.

Now on ps5, what head tracking solution are you using as ps camera doesn't work?

None yet. Ps5 controller has a ok analog hat view to move head around. As I have T.flight hotas 4 stick also I use it's digital hat to move head, but it's not as movable as PS5 controller's hat.

I am using as headtracking in my Ps4:
Rii i7 Fly Air Mouse Remote Control mini

I am very satisfied with its performance (no need for cam etc). You can find the detailed setup instructions below:

I am using and its is working (I am using the same rii 7 that I was using on my PS4).

Hey, I've recently upgraded to PS5 and getting back into SIM. I have the Hotas 4 being delivered this week and was looking for a headtracking solution. What is the rii 7? Any link or set up advice? Is this still working for you? Or did anyone find a better solution? Thanks! Edge~

Yep, I just transfered my hotas 4 and rii7 (Rii Mini i7 mini Wireless Air Mouse Remote Controller ) to my new PS5 and both of them are working nicely.
