Stuck on "Checking Game Updates"

I seem to be stuck on checking game updates. I also get something that pops up and says "Some files have not been deleted". At the bottom of the message it mentions something about HQ cockpits. Wasn't able to find a clog file from today when the problem happened.

Upper right is that tool icon.

Click on it, and then on button "Check Files"

Tried clicking it. It’s like the button doesn’t work, still says checking game updates not checking files.

Corruption in the file log.

You try delete the game and install fresh?

I uninstalled but the problem is still there. I found it weird that the download was only about 280 mb.

Issue could be in your Libraries.  a Plist of like is what is causing issue.

 

Look for

gaijin_selfupdater_(bunch of letters).PLIST.

Delete it, try again

I was able to find and delete it but it didn’t solve the problem.

I wasn't able to find the file they mentioned. This is the closest I got. Is there any chance downloading from gaijin instead of steam might help?

Yes, Steam does sometimes cause issue.

Except for screen shots and control settings (.blk), you can delete anything Warthunder, aces, yup, and I think yeup.

Looks like a no go from the gaijin site. It says can’t save update info file

Please post a new Launcher log as you did above.  Will make report.

 

On last items to try is make new account on your Mac (different name) and install WT in that.

That will at least let us know if issue is in User account or System Library (Mac OS has 2 (3?) libraries).

I take that back. I’m able to play now through the gaijin launcher!!! I’m not sure what happened but I tried logging in today and it worked.

You use Steam, yes?  There was an update how Steam and WT update, maybe that fixed it?

That’s possible, but I tried opening it through steam and I still got the same message. Using the launcher from the gaijin site it seems to work fine though.

Considering you basically tried to install game on a "new" computer (IIUC, an account on Mac, like Linux, is like a unique computer), it seems like the server was stopping your updates.

Just a guess.
