Experiencing slow download speed for updates of wt via steam

Since the change where wt updates are being downloaded via steam rather than wt launcher itself, im having terrible download speed for updates/patches of any size as you can see from the screenshot. My internet is fine and normally i get 2-3+ mbps download speed from wt launcher but this is not the case anymore. This is really bad when i will need to download major updates with these kinds of speed. i did some googling about this and saw players saying steam dedicated server and p2p nature of wt is the issue here. Can someone help me how to change back to things where wt launcher will download my updates and not steam so that i get decent speed?

tbh i don't think this is a good idea (at least not when Steam already started downloading since running the launcher may mess

up the download on Steam) but there are several ways to run the launcher a) when you click on 'play' in the Steam game library

you can choose to 'update the game manually' instead of starting it, b) you can run the launcher.exe directly in the WT game

folder (better not do this while Steam is open) and c) you may be able to improve your download speeds on Steam by selecting

a different download location / region in the Steam settings.
