You have more qualified crew for this vehicle

I don't understand this "You have more qualified crew for this vehicle" message. There seems to be no indication of which other crew is better, or why that other crew is better. See the Galer's F3F-2 in my attached screenshot, which crew should it be in and why? Why is the current crew not good enough? I don't think I've ever spent any points on Aviation based skills, and I don't think I've ever moved the plane from the crew in which it was first placed.

Further, should i have a dedicated Aviation crew so that crew points spent towards Aviation skills don't cut into my Army crew points?

Hello, @Canuck_Lad.

Crew level skills in short, but let me explain more:

When you upgrade your crew skills, they become more "qualified" for that vehicle. This exactly means that crew slot is better for that vehicle.

Sure and absolutely!

Aviation crew skills have nothing to do with ground or naval ones, so make sure you've separate crew slots.

Check this out:

Two crew slots for aircraft, and 4 for ground vehicles.

Good luck!

So, basically, if I don't have all ground vehicles on the same crew, and if one crew is better than anohter, I'll get that icon? That's kind of annoying.

Let me explain better:

You added a vehicle (we name it A) to a crew slot at level 10, you later replace that vehicle with another one as you unlock vehicles and go further.

If you try to select that vehicle (A) to another crew with lower crew level and skills, the game notifies you that you have a better crew slot for that vehicle (we named A).

It means "A" was added to a higher crew slot with higher level and it's better to use that crew slot not others (it later becomes more important with more expensive crew train costs).

Good luck.

Logically, it means that, for example, a tank conductor will, technically, not know how to pilot an aircraft because he is a tank pilot…

Is that right?

But I'm getting that notification for vehicles I never re-assigned to a new crew.

Another odd thing. If I click the up/down arrow icon on each crew slot I see the same planes (which I've used or re-assigned) listed under more than 1 crew slot. And they have that icon. Those planes are appearing under crew slots to which they are not assigned. Why are vehicles appearing under crew slots where they were never assigned?

One of these planes (call it Plane 1), for example, is assigned to another crew (which we'll call crew 1). When I click the up/down arrow on crew 1 I see plane #1. Plane 1 is trained on crew 1. Why does Plane 1 appear under crew 1, and crew 2, and crew 3? I never assigned it to crew 2 or 3. Also, I know the plane is not trained on crew 2 or 3, because if I try to train crew 2 or 3 there is a training cost.

Yeah some times, but not always.

it seems you can train crew under both aviation and army, but crew xp comes out of a single pool if you do that.

Can I move crew slots? Like lets say crew 1, crew 2, crew 3, and crew 4 I want to be for Army, and crew 5 and 6 I want to be for Aviation. But maybe at current my 2nd crew slot if aviation, can I move it somehow (without losing/wasting crew xp that I've already spent)?

Or maybe is because you already had this vehicle once in your crews and it will be better to put it back where he belongs.

For example, you had tank A in crew A yesterday, and today you change tank A for tank B.

Now you want to have tank A back in your crew so the game wants you to put tank A in crew A because you already had it once there.

It means using another crew slot is a better choice for that vehicle.

This is my 1st crew slot, I use it for my planes.

As you can see, P-36A doesn't have that "!" message, it means this plane was used in this crew slot, but other tanks and planes have the message, let's list the reasons:

  • You have this vehicle crew'd on another slot (waste of SL if you use it on this one)
  • It's better to add this vehicle to another crew slot with higher level.
  • This is not the crew slot this vehicle belongs to, for example tanks, they are for other crew slots.

Yup, exactly!

Yes, this too.

You can't move crew slot positions, unfortunately.

I've never moved any of my planes to a different crew slot.

Maybe they need a "This vehicle best suited for crew slot #2" message. That would be clear, concise, and would make a lot more sense I think.

Let me explain in an example:

image.thumb.png.fc583660281d5992cc28f681

This is my 1st crew slot, I use it for my planes.

As you can see, P-36A doesn't have that "!" message, it means this plane was used in this crew slot, but other tanks and planes have the message, let's list the reasons:

  • You have this vehicle crew'd on another slot (waste of SL if you use it on this one)
  • It's better to add this vehicle to another crew slot with higher level.
  • This is not the crew slot this vehicle belongs to, for example tanks, they are for other crew slots.

So the ! might appear where the plane is not even assigned to but would be better if it were?

I have Plane 1 on Crew slot 1. That plane has always been there, it has never been moved.

When I go to crew slot 2, which only has crew trained for Army skills, Plane 1 appears under crew 2 with the ! icon Does this mean that plane 2 should be moved to crew slot 2 even though only crew #1 is trained for that plane?

The entire UI for crew and vehicles seems very poorly designed. The UI that shows the ! symbol, doesn't give any hint or suggestion why the icon appears there, and there could be a half dozen different reasons that it appears.

How could anyone design a UI that's as un-intuitive as this one is in many respects.

“!” Means you should NOT put that vehicle there.

Right, but doesn't give any reason why.

Further, it gives the ! symbol when you've never put the vehicle there and you've only ever assigend that vehicle to some other slot.

For example I assign plane #1 to crew slot #1 (it's trained here). The plane appears there. But the plane also appears under crew slot #2 with the ! symbol despite the fact that I've never assigned the plane to slot 2. And the same plance appears under crew slot 3 with the ! symbol, and I've never assigned the plane there either. The crew #2 and #3 isn't trained for that plane, yet still the plane appears there.

For example you have crew A who has been trained for tank A and you have crew B who have been trained for plane A.

Now you want to put tank B in one of the crews ( A or B) and you choose B (the crew trained for plane A) the game will mark “!” telling you that you have a “more qualified crew” in this case another tank pilot.

I'm getting the ! for planes, and I don't have any Aviation cew skill points spent on any of my crew skill slots.

No, if there is a “!” On your vehicle you need to spend more SL

i don’t mind that

Isn’t it the “!” That where talking about?

ya, but my issue is that I don't know why:

1. The vehicle it's on isn't suitable

2. Which vehicles it should be on

3. and in some cases, I'm getting that message for a plane that is only trained on 1 crew that doesn't have that !. So why does the plane also appear on some other crew, where it's not trained, with a !

*Answering question 3* because the plane is part of your vehicle collection.

*Answering question 1* because the vehicle is being put on a crew slot with another type of vehicle (tanks, helicopters, aircrafts, ships).

What's that mean?

I buy a plane, assign it to crew #1. I spend a point of crew skill on aviation on crew #1. It's my only crew with any aviation skill.

I then go to crew #2 and click on the up/down arrow icon. The plane appears here also! And it has a !

But why would it appear under #2? I only assigned it to #1, it's trained on #1, why would it appear under #2?

Vehicle collection means all of the vehicles you’ve researched this far.
