So the remaining RP for planes that almost finished researched before this economy update just disappeared?

My F104 A has around 360.000 RP before the update drop, then after the update drop the plane researched but the rest of the RP around 180.000 RP just gone?

Stona_WT (Posted )

As usual, we do not refund invested RP nor we do not require more RP from machines where RP "price" has been increased after you already unlocked it.

  • Stona_WT changed the title to Server update 23.08.2021 (Economy update)

Thanks for updating the much unloved Sea Venom.  While this plane is still missing its historical ordinance loads (which should mirror the Vampire (bombs, RP-3s)), it now has much more reasonable research costs, and it's still 7.7 and not the planned 8.0.  In truth, without ordinance, this probably should be a 7.3 aircraft like that Vampire once was, but if you added the ordinance, 7.7 still makes sense.  Thank you for being sensible and reasonable about this aircraft.

I'm not sure to understand the french air tree now, that line to the left of the bomber line is mostly ground attack line ? or is it for attacking boat (it could mean we can hope for French navy next year maybe ? :D).

Hi,

please consider following Rank changes:

Germany:

Stug III G (Germany) - from Rank II to Rank III:

The Italian Stug III G is also Rank III

3 hours ago, Ouiche said:

Dicker Max and 8,8 cm Flak 37 Sfl. — Switched places.

Both Dicker Max and 8,8cm Flak 37 Sfl should stay Rank III, as both use very capable guns which can be uptiered quite easily.

T-34 747 (r) - from Rank II to Rank III:

As its a uparmored T-34 and very capable (even if slightly uptiered) it would fit the Rank III (beside Panzer IV H) far better than Rank II, were it couldnt be used for Events or BP.

Russia:

KV-2 (1939) - from Rank II to Rank III:

German KV-2 and KV-2 (1940) are both Rank III.

T-34 E STZ + T-34 E (shielded) + KV-1S + The Su-85A - from Rank II to Rank III:

Russian Rank II is slightly more filled than other Techtrees - these vehicles are just upgrades from their predecessor and could grant the players of the russian techtree some more flexibility in their lineups regarding Events and Battlepass.

Japan:

So-Ki - from Rank III (Stay):

Japan dont have a Rank III (or above) AAA until BR 5.3 with the M42, this will leave open any Lineups from 3.3 to 5.0 without a AA which is Event or BP capable.

--> at least until a other vehicle is found to fill the Gap

Many good changes in here, keep up the good work.

It would've been nice if the MiG-21F-13 was foldered but the 21bis being foldered also helps towards the MiG-23M.

F4U-1C and F4U-4 — Grouped.

This kinda makes no sense. I mean, these 2 aircraft have nothing in common in their modifications. It would make way more sense to folder the F4U-1D with the 1C and the F4U-4 with the 4B. The F4U-4B is to the F4U-4 what the F4U-1C is to the F4U-1D: The exact same corsair variant, except with the 6x12.7mm machine guns switched for 4x20mm cannons.

I have an observation. In the german air tree,in order to buy aircraft from rank VII the game requires you to buy all the planes in rank VI first, so the  fact that the CL13 is foldered is rendered irrelevant since you still have to research it.

Number of vehicles required to access the new ranks will be changed in the upcoming major update.

I like the changes, but... i missed it and wanted to make a suggestion.

Currently, the Mi-24V and the Mi-24P are not foldered, and their only difference is the V being with .50cal rotary turret, while the P is with 30mm fixed cannon.

Can we have those grouped in this or perhaps the next server update? There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to grind the same helicopter twice.

EDIT: Grouping a lot of vehicles is really good. No one likes to grind literally the same vehicle, but with slight differences.
And the RP/SL adjustments to T5/T6 vehicles was long overdue and much needed.

Will we be seeing a "kickback"/refund of sl for purchase price/modifications etc... of SL and GE spent on the vehicles in this economy update?

I do see Stona's note "As usual, we do not refund invested RP nor we do not require more RP from machines where RP "price" has been increased after you already unlocked it."

Thanks! Awesome to see the price reductions!

""""As usual, we do not refund invested RP nor we do not require more RP from machines where RP "price" has been increased after you already unlocked it. """

@Stona also you dont refund RP for ongoing reseaching vehicle. i was 380k/390k RP in cl german sabre(9.3), didnt researched yet, but when update drops it automaticly researched... RP drops to near 250K from 390k.. my 140k RP is vanished........ why gaijin, why? i cant research 140k RP easyly.. my hours..

except this, you should do this update long long time ago..

@Stona Since some changes are pending for the next major update, is there a chance for the suggested grouping change of the Mi-24V and Mi-24P to happen as well then?
Otherwise, we will have to wait another 3-6 months for the next changes.

Hi all,

according to the new server update, the RP costs for plane modification have (mostly) been reduced. Which is great.

https://warthunder.com/en/game/changelog/current/1285

However, it seems to me that RP costs for mods actually did not change.

For example the LA 200 still required 18k for T4 mods.

Or MIG 17 requires overall 134200 RP to research all upgrades, but according to the update table it should be now only 114400

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRk7CNXsvGDHgcIXMS9y9eEyHD6IpwOM5kplEMkSo_1R8Bb6cE53B1BIAvPUM0yW83rHeTJWXe9TdMi/pubhtml#

Yak 23 should be 98000 but is 112000

etc.

Is it just me or is there a mistake somewhere?

Hey Team, To ensure we are using the same language, currently looking at the rewards for vehicles I feel the G91s' with air to ground atgms as well as A4e and A4b are earning far more rewards in ground RB. Also, with recent changes to the br change amongst ground to air AA, there has been little to contend with. Will their be any changes regarding such to balance out earnings by the individual planes? I know I commented before on this, but wanted to see if this was being looked at. thank you.
