Rptd: [2.9.0.83] Penetration Indicator randomly bugging out and staying red

# Description

The penetration indicator of the T-62 randomly bugs out sometimes. It will always stay red instead of turning yellow/green when penetration is possible. The gray penetration indicator for tracks keeps working.

See attached screenshots of the T-62 using the 3BM3 APDS-FS ammo from a test drive. The indicator is clearly red when it should be green because the penetration is easily possible.

This usually gets fixed after a game restart, but happens again randomly sometimes and can be reproduced by watching the attached replay.

Also see the 2 screenshots from the replay: the penetration marker is clearly bugged red, yet penetration is easily possible.

Also happens randomly with other tanks using APDS-FS ammo, the T-55AM-1 for example.

 

# Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Start test drive with T-62 and use 3BM3 ammo

2. Aim at a tank where you can penetrate, notice how the penetration indicator turns green

3. Leave the test drive and watch the attached replay file until end

4. Start test drive again, aim again at the same spot as before and notice how the penetration indicator always stays red now

5. Restart game to fix it, watch replay to make it buggy again

Newest drivers, Windows updates, no custom content etc., playing arcade tank battles in ultra low quality mode

 

# Affected vehicles

• T-62

• T-55AM-1

• Probably more, all with APDS-FS ammo?
