French Navy in War Thunder

I notice that several navies are available in the game, if I go back to my ranking of world navies in 1939, in order we have:

 

- The Imperial Japanese Navy (in game)

- the US Navy (in game)

- The Royal Navy (in game)

- The French Navy (not in the game)

- The Italian Navy (in game)

- The Kriegsmarine (in game)

- And finally, the Russian Navy (in the game)

 

My question is: why no French navy ?

 

We had very interesting ships, for example the Fantasque, which still hold the speed record for destroyers (Le Terrible 45,25 knots), the heavy cruisers of the Suffren or Duquesne class, the light cruisers of the La Galissonnière class, but also excellent battleships comparable to the other most powerful battleships of the planet, the Richelieu and Jean Bart. In short, the French navy was one of the most powerful in the world, and had excellent ships that would have their place in this game.

 

For example, in blue water fleet, we could add :

 

- As Tier V battleships, we could add the Normandie class, the Courbet class, the Bretagne class...

- As tier V/IV cruisers, we could add  Suffren class,  Duquesne class, Algérie, De Grasse, Colbert, La Galissonnière class... Colbert or De Grasse in premium ?

- As tier III cruisers, we could add Duguay-Trouin class, Émile Bertin, Pluton, Jeanne d'Arc...

- As tier III destroyers, we could add Le Fantasque class, Mogador class..

- As tier II destroyers, we could add Aigle class, Vauquelin class, L'Adroit class..

- As tier I destroyers, we could add Jaguar class, Bison class, Bourrasque class, Enseigne Roux class...

 

 

 

There are plenty of choices for concocting a beautiful tree, moreover, the plans should surely not be much more difficult to find than the Italian or Soviet plans !!

That Gaijin put the Chinese helicopters first, that is their choice, but that the French navy is not on the program, I find that very strange, unjustified and abnormal with respect to other nations.

Already, I consider it rather shameful that they make us pass the Chinese helicopters before the French fleet. It is certainly their choice, but I dispute it.

Not everyone can play helicopters !!

The ships, yes !

France was added before China, and it is the only naval power at the time in the game that does not have a fleet, even Italy got one.

In short, I find it more than abnormal, but I hope that we will not wait another year. 

And some French people have gone to the competition to play national ships... If they definitely want to live up to the World Of games (even is World of Warplanes is BAD), let them add our fleet. There is a lack in the game. And the addition of Sweden and Israel should have followed the French fleet.

Moreover, they would gain on the whole line, including economic. Few people spend on helicopters.. Me, I would be ready to spend on a French premium, or to buy gold to pay for my ships or to speed up research, as for planes or tanks. China being played less than France, it is clear that it will bring them nothing twice.

Vehicles that fit the meta are added whenever enough specifics, informations, data and anything else is required for 3d models and in game perfomance are obtained.

This means the french fleet (as already explained) lacked some of the necessary data to be implemented.

Gaijin already confirmed it and explained why is the missing navy so far, there is not any obscure plot behind it. And any other TT has no relation with it, gaijin adds content how and whenever they please anyway.

I wonder why information is so hard to find... All the plans would have been destroyed during the war ? They did well in making the Italian and Soviet fleets..

Iirc in the Q&A where they confirmed chinese helis and a couple other times they said devs are working on the french navy TT.

In any case they confirmed 100% is coming.

If you're talking about the time they said they were working on chinese helis, the navy they announced at the same time was the italian navy, but that was 2 years ago 

I really don't remember any clear statement about the french navy.

To my knowledge, they never confirmed working on it. The last info we got about the French navy was "It's too soon to talk about that." And that answer has remained the same since it was first pronounced during a Q&A back in late 2018. The last time I believe was Smin in spring 2021, saying it was still "too soon to talk about it".

I truly believe that the French Navy will come later this year. Probably the around the Oct/Nov time frame to match with the 2 year anniversary of New Power. To me, it makes sense to add a new nation, then to increase in BR and add more powerful ships and additional weapon systems. It buys GJ more time to develop/adjust gameplay.

 

Which seeing how GJ will change naval gameplay for this coming update, it further leads me to conclude the above mentioned. 

 

A new nation will bring a wave of new players and thus, opportunity to showcase naval. GJ probably wants a smoother experience for these players so that they stick around, longer then a month.

As a Kiwi living in Australia I also find it very odd the French Navy isn't included, but maybe that's do to limited resources? Also surprise the OP didn't mention the  Algérie  given IMHO it's a beautiful ship. However rather sadly, not blueprints of it survived the war, or so I was told by the French Embassy here some 30 years ago! (Time does fly truly).

During my research I found a couple drawings that seemed detailed enough... Though, they're certainly not on the level of official blueprints.
 

Beyond that, well... Naval's not a really popular game mode, and neither are French tech trees... Not hard to imagine why we still don't have this fleet in the game yet.
