@Arghail, @sam_dom Sorry about the ping, but I just couldn't think of anybody else when it comes to having good knowledge about a somewhat "niche" French Navy related question(s).:D

Have you guys ever read about the fuze delay(s) that was employed in French naval ammunition? You might ask for what gun, or from what era, but I am curious about every and any that was documented somewhere, and you may know about.

Hello. I'm not well versed in that matter so I can't tell you a 100% sure answer. I'll have to research further the topic, but right now I can't tell you much. I just know various kinds of proximity fuses were used by French artillery on the ground during WW1, so it probably was studied for the navy during the interwar, if not for the main artillery pieces, at the very least for the AA guns like the 90mm mle 1926 or the 100mm mle 1930.

Can't give you much than that for now, I'll update if I find something.

Thanks, Arghail! Appreciated!:salute:

I only heard people talking about that it was similar to US/Italian fuze delay, so about 0.03s, but nothing concrete.:goodsnail:

Pretty sure the French navy will come out after the Chinese and Swedish navies because "minor nation". Yet one of the most powerful navies according to the Washington Naval Treaty but okay Gaijijn.
Fingers crossed it comes out before some new ridiculous nation like Sudan or Trinidad gets a tech tree.

@Smin1080pHello, can we have any updated information regarding the development of the french navy? Can we expect it for this year still? :crying:

No new news that we can share for now beyond previous answers in developer Q and As.

The fact this part of the forum exists seems to me a good feeling.

Sweden, Israel and China do not have a navy part on the forum.

Yeah don't get too much of your hopes up. It's been around for a very long time, doesn't mean a lot.

How long is a long time?

Since october 2018. 4 years ago. Basically since the French navy was first mentioned officially by Gaijin in a Q&A.

Would you happen to know where i can find that Q&A

Sorry, no idea. You would need to dig on the internet for that. Don't get all excited though. From memory, the question was "what about the French navy", and the answer was "There's not much infos on French small boat so it's difficult to think about a tree right now". That was before they decided to go all in and add cruisers, heavy cruisers, battleships... At the time they were still thinking naval would stay only coastal. Obviously it didn't last long.

Smin said that Chinese helis will come before the French Navy. Now that Chinese helis are here, would Gaijin commemorate its 10th year anniversary with the introduction of French Navy? Seems fitting for a great tech tree.

By SUCH date they will definitely not release it, Gaijins rhetoric is known everyone (France must suffer). Therefore, I think, either towards end year (unlikely), or winter next year (more likely)
