Wind of change on iMac 2019 issues

I try running Wind of Change on my iMac from 2019, but it's not playable. Screen is flickering like hell, I set the graphics to lowest, used minimal client, to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Exactly the same here, Mac Pro 2013. Tried Medium and Minimum settings, same thing. Freezes after 30 seconds or so.

Every release is like this.

2018 MacBook Pro here.  Same flickering issue on any graphic settings, and it has frozen several times to the degree I couldn’t force quit and the whole system crashed.

Same issues here also. I am running a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) with 24 GB of RAM and a AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2 GB graphics card. Loaded "full client".

The issues are very apparent when looking at fire, smoke or other graphics. When switching to a view of the countryside with no fire, explosion or other things, no flickering or weird graphics.

Game is unplayable for me. I took a dozen screenshots and none show the flickering/stuttering! Amazing! Must be the graphics card?

Same here with MacPro2013 - unuseable.

This always seems to happen on Mac with any major release - I really wish they'd test it better on Mac before launching - it's completely unusable (as per the descriptions above)

Same issue here. Doesn't matter graphics settings, usually play on Medium, tried Low no change. Did get one full on crash, locked up the machine for a few, Freeze detected. (8111000A). This has gotten worse, cannot seem to start a game, no matter the graphics level.

2020 iMac, 5500XT GPU.

Update 03/25/2022: Did the patch today, small change, doesn't crash out but still has massive unplayable distortions, especially air in mixed battles (AB). TailSpin is ok, lower graphics I assume. Test Drive is also ok. Again less to draw?

Same issues after all big updates, you have to say it was expetected.

I am running a iMac Monterey 12.3 (Retina 4K, 17-inch, 2019) with 16 GB of RAM and a Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB graphics card. Loaded "minimum client".

Same issue here flashing white polygons all over the screen and massive fps drops. Occasional crashes as well. I normally play at medium settings and get around 60-70 fps but changing that doesn't affect it.

Seems to be connected to exhaust smoke and affects ground battles more. Havent tried naval yet. Im not using Steam btw. This seems to be a problem every update for Mac. I believe last time you helped us @Pony51 any chance of help again?

also very hard to get screenshot of flickering so ill try and screen record

Same issue here, the game is basically unplayable. The flickering graphics vary intensity and style, but especially the second combat starts everything is just guesswork as shells become invisible, buffs of smoke become giant grey disks and half of the tank textures leap into the horizon.

Changing graphics setting does not do anything, regardless of the options taken.

In test drive the game at least runs, though with stutters, for any length of time and the visual glitches seem comperatively minor:

But in the actual game with other players the game invariably crashes and takes the entire machine with it. This has happened within ~30 seconds of getting into a match, i.e. zero enemy contact, to several minutes of prolonged enemy contact. The graphical issues in this mode are much more severe, too. The flickering is more intense and the game runs significantly worse.

I hope the .clog is the right one, after the last crash the game seems to have created three .clog files within minutes of each other, one of them empty.

There is a huge train of similar issues on the bug reporting system... just visit https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder?f.platform=macosx, the game is unplayable on mac os since the new version (wings of change) rolled out. It may take months for the snail to fix this... since is similar to previous bugs which always took months to fix... so we are on our own. sincerely at this point I believe the snail will drop mac os support :(

It is the climate change every time there is less and less water.... going to the issues every time there is a big patch to fix they take months to run it (in the previous one it took 2 and a half months and there was no compensation for those who had premium account ¬¬). I'm sure the devs don't test the Mac version otherwise they would have fixed it by now.  We just have to wait.
