# Description

 

Currently the IFV Pumas roof (without the hedgehog armor modules) is just a simple 15mm armor plate.

 

However the entire roof armor should be much thicker, consisting of both thick reinforced steel around the main gun and modular armor modules.

 

The power cable drum on the Puma is a AS Schwabe designed one:

In this category, they all have the same diameter of 285mm.

 

 

Alternatively the turret ring diameter can be estimated from images and schematics and used instead.

 

 

Shows the armor plates on the roof (highlights in red).

Non highlighted areas are solid steel to reinforce the structure for the gun and other openings

In contrast the composite screen does not reflect the real model, neither in shape, nor thickness, nor protection provided.

The composite screen by the looks of it only tries to model the additional roof protection, but not the base layer.

The base layer (e.g. the structural parts & composites & inner layer) seems to missing completly.
