_YESI 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2022 I have downloaded the game via steam and I start the game on my desktop with war thunder shortcut icon. When I start the game like this it starts via steam. relliK 3,228 Report post Posted May 24, 2022 you can create a desktop shortcut to the launcher.exe in the ..\War Thunder\ (right click the launcher(.exe) and select -> send to -> Desktop on the menu). however, this will start the client without Steam so you won't have the Steam login and overlay. if you are using a Steam account to play the game you will have to use the 'web login' on the login page (which then will open a browser window where you can 'sign in through Steam') - if you use a Gaijin account (email / pass) to login it does not matter which way you start the client anyway ^^ whether (or not) it is possible to create a desktop shortcut that is starting the game via Steam and is still running the launcher by default i don't know (but doubt it). 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
