Suggested details and improvements to War Thunder


1. Another one small update should be use of operators language and not nation tech tree language. 

 

For example if you play Leopard 2PL that is operated by Poland then the crew should be speaking Poland not German. 

 

The sound files are ready for it it just needs tweaking.

 

2. Gaijin should sort out new column and separate premium and event/squadron vehicles instead of being put in premium vehicles column. Event and squadron vehicles do not have any premium features like boosted SL or RP rewards.

This game is so boring now, with the russian teams stomping the whole of 10.0 + in ground, the maps are way to big which in air which leads to the su25, a10, a7's and all other sub sonic planes being useless.  Please consider the implementation of FOB's in the higher br's.

I haven't used the forum much so I may have put this in the wrong place for it to be seen but anyways,

I'd love to see more aircraft in war thunder to have a custom secondary weapons option (such as the F4U's P-51's and P-47's) as its really great to be able to pick exactly what you bring in to a game. There are also plenty of other aircraft possible to have custom secondary weapons on but these are just the ones at the front of my mind. For example on the F4U-4 it would be cool to swap out the 100lbs and 250lbs or the 500lbs for 250lbs or mounting rockets and bombs. Another is on the P-51-D30 where you can take 2 napalm bombs with rockets but can't take conventional bombs with rockets.

also slightly unrelated but how do you drop the 1000lbs pair of bombs on the P-47 separately? (ignore that)

Also why don't the pair of 500lbs on the F4U-4B drop individually, its weird cause all the other planes with pairs of 500lbs like that drop individually.

Even without being an expert for P-47s it looks highly unlikely that there was a separate bomb drop of the pair possible irl. Despite the obvious effects on aerodynamics, weight distribution (center of gravity) and subsequent trimming of the aircraft i suggest to do some research. In case you find a primary source for an individual drop - create a bug report and ad the link to the source as evidence. Afaik separate drops of smaller wing mounted bombs (like SC50) are possible for some planes as the weight issue is seen as smaller and/or some players could prove that this was irl implemented.

 

By the way the same approach is valid for your custom loadout issue, in case you find a reliable source that your requests were based on actual loadouts gaijin will fix this with an additional loadout or your custom loadout. It might take some time, but usually they fix such things quite fast.

yh sorry about the note about dropping bombs individually, my friend got confused thinking you could drop them separately in the new update but actually he was just in air arcade test flight. thx anyways tho

Another super simple suggestion:
- Have a small note when a custom weapon loadout created already exist. Note can be either a pop-up window or the color of the loadout changing to e.g., red. This would help as sometimes I have been creating a loadout only to see after that I already did the loadout.

Here are few more that came to my mind.

 

1. Have assists counted as kills that add to camouflage research. For arcade battles. 3 assists = 1 kill. For realistic and simulator 2 assists = 1 kill.

 

This is not completely mine and someone somewhere suggested it and I am sorry if it was written already but here it is. 

2. Automatic use of boosters and discount cupouns when they are about to expire. 

 

3. For aicraft, allow change of presets and creation of presets during the match and in air instead of just needing to land and J out. This would save time and allow for more planning.

If talisman is dropped as a trophy, dont make it random for all vehicles at appropriate rank, but only for branch which was played that match. For example if it drops in air battles with rank IV, give it to some random aircraft of rank IV, but not for tank of rank IV. Maybe if you have talisman on all rank IV aircraft then choose from other branches.  Bluewater and coastal would be considered one branch.

Very good idea, maybe combined with a kind of choice for what vehicle you want to use it.

 

As a pure Air RB player i received 4 (!!!!) talismans for rank III / I/V aircraft for the Swedish tree within 2 weeks, including one for the only plane i was using. In case i had a chance to decide by my own i would have chosen another vehicles for the first 3 as they were assigned to overtiered and underperforming planes i will never use. 

 

In addition it would be helpful to know more about how to get talisman drops and how to increase your chances. I mean it is nice to get 4 talismans in a short time period ((and 1 million SL bonus in the same time) but i played exactly with same results like in the months before and after - but i was unable to repeat this success in other trees, so i assume it was more an incentive for the Swedish air tree than based on my performance...

Things I'd like to see:

 

Modifications:

- Parts: All players can repair, parts modification merely reduces repair time.

- FPE: All players start with 1 FPE charge, FPE modification merely gives a second charge.

- Night Vision: Make it a stock feature. A player shouldn't be handicapped in a night battle simply because they're grinding a new tank. It's also incredibly situational only relevant in night battles.

 

Gameplay:

- Make spawn points act like capture points. What I mean is giving them the ability to replenish ammo/smoke/crew/etc. Also the ability to swap vehicles in a line-up would be nice, adding a bit of dynamic gameplay. 

 

Economy:

- Orders: If a team member completes the order, but not yourself, you get the teamwork award. Which adds a small credit boost and greatly increases the chance of the player actually getting something from the order.

Another small one: - Have an indication when the engine is turned off in the top left HUD, e.g. make the Thrust line a dark grey font color or instead of a number it just says OFF. Sometimes you turn the engine off (can be accidentally or on purpose) and then forget about it or it won't start for some reason immediately.

A lot of negative changes are being announced: Increased amount of RP and SL to progress tiers by unfolding, increase in repair costs, lower SL rewards.

 

Where are the positive changes? The negative changes need to be compensated by positive changes.

 

The game has long standing problems like 1-death leavers, bad heli PVE mode (AA & lack of things to do), turret desync, bad GRB rewards, and I'm sure other people can come up with more.

Can we have changes that improve anything? These cumulative negative changes will make existing problems worse.

There are none, the goal is to extend the grind, and the latest round of econ nerfs look like they're going to have you grinding in reverse with the massive repair cost bill you'll be stuck with in a high tier game, if anything it'll encourage the 1 spawn leaving mentality as players won't want to risk losing too much SL in a game that's going unfavorably.

 

I know I plan to do just that if I wind up losing SL going 1:1 KD.

Please not be true. The rewards for air AB are already beyond garbage. Tank AB is okeish (in middle tiers at least), but I certainly won't be playing much if it gets any worse. You can play your premium to a point until you get bored or worse, burned out and leave to do other things.

I like how every time they reduce the income multiplier of a certain vehicle and then emphasize that it is compensated by reduction of its repair cost. They reduced the income multiplier of winning a game and said that the multiplier for losing a game was increased for compensation. Then they keep adding more and more vehicles to the tech trees in every major update, addition of each top-tier vehicle costs an additional 400,000 RP, but this time they stop mentioning about the idea of compensation.
