When to make the switch from Air arcade battles to Air realistic battles?

Actually, given the income structure of both modes, I would use both to best advantage.

There is no reason to change at a certain point, they do offer different content. Both are fun for different reasons.

I’m a new player and I want to know when exactly is the right time to switch to Realistic battles (Air)?

if your goal is to play realistic then immediatelly.

the gameplay and skillset for realistic is completely different to that of an arcade, you will learn basically nothing playing arcade and only create bad habits you will struggle to get rid of.

just be ready to struggle, learning realistic takes time (looking up guiders or having someone to teach you basics would help immensely)

I've come back to try WT again, and I'm noticing one problem here. Which is that I'm back just with Tier 1 planes, but I'm constantly being uptiered when I play Air RB and it's really killing the experience for me. I've gone back to arcade for simply this reason, which is maddening as I really want to give realistic a go.

I chose to stick mostly with AB, in air, ground and naval battles, it's what I find most fun and as far as I'm concerned AB wields the best rewards as well. Also I've played the game quite a lot, still enjoy AB the most.

Agree. However, Air RB gives insane RP rewards in comparison. If you need modules, that would be the place to get them quickly.

Im not sure I can ever get the handle of RB. I only go in to scalp easy kills like AI air and ground, or bomber hunting. I NEVER attack fighters. I only have maby a 1/10 kill ratio. This is a mode that makes be furious after about 10 games, but I love the more in depth physics. A mixed mod of Arcade but with realistic physics would be welcome, but that will never happen. Arcade physics are a joke. Ive had all my tail fins shot off but i still have pitch and yaw. LOL.

The physics in  AB were much closer to RB in the past.

But then we got a boost to control surface efficiency and I think wing efficiency and everything became faster.

Btw, in RB some planes can still fly with both wings shoot away, so...

really when you want to. I started once I really got the feel for one of my planes. get used to a few planes and how they work, figure out how to use them and the counters to them.

play both, and continue playing what you like more. AB is fast-paced, requires more raw mechanical skill, more keyboard control, better aim. RB requires more long-term thinking and more complex strategy, larger discipline. AB rewards you more SL and kills, RB rewards your more RP and more satisfaction from an average kill. I wont say RB is harder, you just have to watch out not to rip your flaps and wings. The choice is yours.

Hi,

That's only for mouse aim I believe. Full controls w stick in rb behaves just like it used to. As a matter of fact the disparity between stick vs mouse/keyboard is much higher in rb than ab air even tho the mouse aim has been made way easier to fight in ab compared to stick since I left in around 2019 or so.

Given the current state of the 'fun' game mode ( Arcade ) I shudder to imagine the hell that is Realistic.
