Is the amount or number of research or exp i get in arcade battles is the same on realistic battles?

I've been using arcade battles for farming on new vehicles especially on planes and naval. ive been playing arcade battles but i feel like farming exp there is much slower/lower than realistic battles, can someone explain how can types of battle affect the exp or research points i get?

I am good at air arcade and at best mediocre at air RB. From this perspective, with fighters I can still earn more RP in RB and more SL in AB per hour. So RP wise I spade fighters in RB, because even if I am quite clueless, I get more RP for them. But I will not make much SL doing that.
