Crocodile Flamethrower Control Bind on PlayStation


So I just took the Crocodile for a test drive on PS5.

 

The flamethrower fires when I press the machine gun button. The flamethrower even shows as being the AA machine gun in the tank GUI. It's not an AA machine gun and the Crocodile isn't equipped with one anyway.

 

Why would I want to and have no choice other than fire the flamethrower at the same time as firing my machine gun and vice versa? How am I supposed to **** people off or find them in smoke with my machine gun when there is a pointless dirty great flamethrower farting and spitting at the same time? I would have thought the flamethrower would have been bound to special guns. That makes far more sense to me.

 

There's no problem with my control settings. They have worked fine for many many years for secondary guns and rockets etc.

 

What's the story Gaijin? Did you take a short cut implementing this, is it a bug or how it is supposed to be?

 

[EDIT] I just noticed that you can fire the flamethrower independently of the machine gun using R2 if you use the "Select machine gun" bind. I shouldn't have to do that and it is broken AF for it to work that way when using that bind anyway. There's other weirdness going on when you use "Select secondary weapon" to.

 

The long and the short of it is considering the flamethrower to be a machine gun is cocking up the control binds.

 

Seems pretty lazy shoddy workmanship to me and reeks of release now, fix later.
