i think the Meteor also deserves its own post as the primary long range weaponry of the 3 Eurocanards but I haven't really looked into that too much yet so I'm lacking sources.

@MBDA_Meteor  do you have any to share?

So with the addition of the F-16AJ, I think adding flares and RWR to the DA1 isn't that much trouble if one thinks about it, what do you all think?

Yak-141 and its IRST / HMD is an even closer example. I would say DA1 seems to fit in just fine

i mean.... why not. the problem is that it doesnt have a radar either lol. the DA5 was the first one with the ECR-90(early version of the CAPTOR-M)

You have questios for RADAR's gimbal limits?

As far as I know, Azimuth ±70, Horizontal ±60.

https://www.hensoldt.net/news/hensoldt-jamming-system-proves-effectiveness-in-flight-tests/

Hensoldt(German company for radars and stuff like that, is also building the CAPTOR-E Mk1) is testing its Kalaetron escort jammer.

This pod is likely being developed for the soon to be Eurofighter ECR that have been ordered. It is said to have been very successful in detecting and jamming radar systems such as the ones used by modern SAM sites

Airborne Electronic Attack | HENSOLDT

Eurofighter ECR's escort jammer pod, which is being developed in cooperation with Rafael(not Rafale), is already in its flight testing phase with tests having started late 2022 and continuing through 2023

Is there any difference between the German and UK Eurofighter Typhoons...have not found anything online about this and asking due to the differences in the various Tornados.

German Typhoons don't mount the PIRATE IRST typically, but can mount it if they want too

the Pirate IRST is one difference, another would be the lack of a laser warning system(the italian one doesnt have this either), the german and spanish eurofighters will be getting the CAPTOR-E Mk1 while the British are developing the Mk2, Britain has some weapons that Germany isnt using and Germany has some weapons that Britain isnt using(like taurus vs storm shadow or IRIS-T vs ASRAAM)

Thanks....sounds like some differences, but not necessarily one country being clearly ahead of the others capability-wise.  The IRST is very nice to have though.
