i think the Meteor also deserves its own post as the primary long range weaponry of the 3 Eurocanards but I haven't really looked into that too much yet so I'm lacking sources.

@MBDA_Meteor  do you have any to share?

Lenkbomben GBU-54 für Eurofighter (esut.de)

Bombenkörper für Präzisions-Abwurfmunition GBU-54 (esut.de)

according to these 2 articles, the Luftwaffe is getting 2290 GBU-54 LJDAMs between 2021 and 2024 for the Eurofighters so i'd say its safe to assume that they have been integrated already

I can't see the rear MAW sensor, didn't they upgrade all the aircraft? tranche 1 etc...

i have honestly lost track. i dont know which aircraft are of which tranche because theres the 30+26 for example which has the rear sensor so higher number != higher tranche, then there's the 30+22 which also has the rear sensor. none of the trainers have it so who knows maybe they're for solo flight training

has(or had) 33 Tranche 1 Eurofighters. from pictures the ones without the rear sensor(only single seater) are:

30+06

30+07

30+09

30+11

30+12

30+15

31+14

31+15

31+16

airpower.at has a list of whats supposed to be a tranche 1 fighter:

30+06, 30+07, 30+09, 30+11, 30+12, (30+13, 30+15, 30+16, 30+18, 30+19, 30+21, 30+37, 30+41, 30+43 went to austria), 30+22, 30+23, 30+25, 30+26, 30+28, 30+29, 30+30, 30+32, 30+33, send help, 30+34, 30+36, 30+39, 30+40. these are the fighters, trainers are: 30+01, 30+02, 30+03, 30+04, 30+05, 30+10, 30+14, 30+17, 30+20, 30+24, 30+27, 30+31, 30+35, 30+38, 30+42

so its all over the place but as you can see, some of these tranche 1s do have said rear MWS like the 30+26 and 30+22 so some were upgraded and some weren't. this also equals 34 aircraft but im pretty sure that one was lost in an accident or i just cannot count.

tranche 2 and later all appear to have the full DASS suite except for some 31+XX ones idk why those don't have it

98+XX don't count because they're development or instrumented production aircraft

Thank you for the detailed explanation!
In return, I will soon be posting several paints of the Eurofighter

just some funky ideas that got axed (also Diehl slapping thermal seekers on anything remotely close to a missile)

Oh its absolutely great, just think they should branch out into AESA radar seekers

i dont think they have too much, if any, experience in that. thats more like Hensoldt's sorta thing.

They are producing the RBS 15 Mk3 and the RAM missiles which use a radar and a dual mode IR/Radar seeker but those aren't designed and produced by only Diehl.

all of the other missiles are IR guided

I was imagining a medium range thrust vectoring AESA missile, think Derby but better

yeaa i just dont know if they have the AESA knowledge... the IRIS-T SLX does have its own radar seeker as well(dual mode) but idk if Diehl designed it or if its a partnership or smth... they can definitely make the missile, no doubts there, but im not so sure about the guidance

I know they dont, just thought it a neat idea, but yes the ALI missile would've been used on a variety of targets including jets potentially

There is actually something like that in development between Japan and U.K look up JNAAM it is esessentially the AAM-4Bs AESA seeker with the body of the Meteor,
