How to dodge Ka-50 vikhyr missiles?

Is there any reliable way of dodging ka-50 vikhyrs? I was able to use the dolphin dive method and for the first time it worked perfectly (https://imgur.com/Vu9IsgV) but couldnt replicate it. Is there any better and more reliable method?

- Fly below 25m, disabling the Vikhr proximity fuse and pray it doesn't hit you directly

 

generally, I'd say there's no sure way of dodging one, you're hoping the missile runs out of energy so it can't reach/maneuver hard enough to hit you or you're opponent is a potato

the dolphin dive did work because you were below 25m and below that alt the proxy fuze doesn't work

Thats the thing, i know why it worked but every time i tried it again i was also bellow 25m and it didnt work for some reason.

watch the replay in slow motion and see if it was a direct hit or not

Helicopters are where GJN goes full mask off with the Russian bias. They don't even try to pretend. There is 0% chance the Vikhr missile is as good in real life as it is in game. Even when they nerf it in the update, I'm sure it will still vastly over-perform and be the bane of other nations trying to use helicopters. 

 

Rooivalk vs Ka-50, two 11.0 premiums: 

Rooivalk cannot sustain any critical damage at all without falling out of the sky. Ka-50 can tank multiple AAMs and be set on fire multiple times without losing power. 

Rooivalk gets useless mistral missiles for AAM. Ka-50 gets Vikhrs which track better than aim9L missiles, and cannot be avoided with countermeasures. 

Rooivalk gets Mokopa ATGMs, which have somewhat dodgy guidance and regularly just 'hit' Russian roofs without going through, despite the 1m tandem-charge penetration. Ka-50 gets Vikhrs which are the the most user friendly ATGMs in the game, as well as some of the most effective. 

Rooivalk it is almost impossible to get any kills with rockets at the start of the game, whereas the Ka-50 is extremely effective at rocket rushing. 

 

I say all this as someone who has bought both.

That's the neat part, you don't.
 

Seriously though, and talking from extensive experience, you can survive by flying very close to the ground or using trees as cover, but it only delays the inevitable.

Only the British Apache and the Tiger UHT can face a Kamov. If you're not playing one of these helicopters, I'm afraid you might as well just J out because you're simply wasting your time.

 

Kamovs are just way too oppressive with their Vikhrs ... I just wished Mistrals & Stingers could lock at the range they should be able to lock Kamovs : from 4,5 to 6,0km.

That would make things more balanced.

and on top of that the rooivalk is much better for grinding in the pve event than the ka-50

Because everyone knows Heli PvE is the best mode to grind helicopters right ?
