Kosher_Locust 120 Report post Posted January 4, 2023 Not as in the one time you hit a negative number in your K/D ratio or the kid in the Stuka shot down your jet, but most frustrating or aggravating. For me it was a game on the China Mountain Pass map; I was flying German at BR 6.3 but there was something wacky going on, half the enemy team seemed to be flying F--89's, and none of my hits were connecting. The other players on my team all died out and the map went down to something like 40% red and 10% blue on the ticket counter and just stopped. With almost no one else playing I had guys waiting for me as soon as I hit the map; rather than just quit I went through all my backup planes, ending with the 50mm Me-262. Dive away, hit throttle, people are still pinging me anyways so I turn to fight and insta-death. Believe it or not I was Terror of the Sky with something like 16 kills on 15 deaths. Honorable Mention: I was still fairly new to jets and saw a I-16, the BR 3.3 one, flying over a lake. Thinking I had an easy kill I dove down at him, a headon at just under Mach 1. He zapped me with a single burst. I spawned in a backup, did almost the same thing, but he nosed up and crippled me as I was coming down on him. Good Job . Cpt_Bel_V 4,790 Report post Posted January 4, 2023 Taking off, climbing to 4km altitude in Mirage F.1C (2 and half minutes to do so), and turning back to fight, to see that EVERY teammates have been shot down, already, and that you have the whole ennemy team searching for you. I've only left a match by returning to the hangar when the campers are going nuts to deny them killing me out the gate over and over, and even then only a few times. The match making is annoying, especially when you have a hyperprop you like to fly and it's being squared off against Post WWII jets. I like a challenge but that's full Don Quixote level, still it is what it is. My bigger issues seem to be with ping; you get close to an enemy and the whole game shudders like reality is about to cave in or the bad guy's target indicator jitters and rubber bands all over. Other times it's more subtle, like a plane you fly all the time and know well but all you keep getting are assists rather than kills. I stopped using the joystick in October-ish. And yeah, I guess I lack the skill of people that spend 24 hours a day on this game despite my best efforts in the time that I have, but "Missile Thunder" or "5 Minute match Thunder" doesn't help. Despite this, I finally got a kill in Air RB today. I locked up an enemy Kfir but the missile went for my teammate instead. So this one might be the worst game. While Jet Matches are different, low BRs still teach a lot. I've got 13 more free repair missions to figure it out. I think RP is always earned as long as you have a selected plane you're researching. I probably have six million at this point, and you never really "plateau," especially if there's planes you haven't played a lot. I almost quit the game at one point and didn't play for almost six months. When I did come back my scores were much higher because I'd unlearned some of the things I'd been doing and was trying different playing and fighting styles. My all time favorite plane, the Ta-152 C3, I finally accepted it just wasn't a dog fighter. However played to it's strengths it can do well, as in a game I just left where I was 9-0 by flying high and waiting for opportune targets to ambush. With the Japanese Ki-43's I've gotten some games that were 24-2 because those things are so crazy maneuverable and are suited for wild dogfighting but require precise aiming. Ok, maybe in the bracket of 9 to 10 and maybe again in Toptier. But else? We got so many planes, that should be at last 1 BR above or below their current BR when it comes to their flight performance. And still i got a good chance to kill an undertired plane with an overtired plane just because a plane is still a plane. Even dual 7mm can badly hurt to kill the most modern Jets. Guns jam when you don't spade a vehicle (fully modify, sort of part of the game to initially be "worse", gives you a "goal") and effected by low skilled crews.
