Let players turn off Air Domination

When I pop a 150% Research booster hoping to give my bomber a boost towards being spaded, getting a domination map with a dozen ground targets means it is pretty well wasted. If I get a daily to destroy 1 or 6 bases, having airfields to capture instead of destroy is pretty much a waste of my time. Better still, I get crew locked if I go back to the menu to get another choice of map. Domination is fighter mode. I love it for spading fighters. I love it for getting kills towards skins. But it is a waste of SL and a hindrance of my team if I try to play these maps with the intention of spading bombers. When I get 3 in a row, I just quit the game and play something else because I'm no longer doing something for recreation, the game is telling me how I am to use my time.

 

Playing Russian roulette on map modes takes away the ability of a player to choose how they want to focus their time in the game and that takes away fun. At the very least, let us pop boosters after the map is loaded up so I don't waste them.

Oh I'm more than willing to drop out of the match. Is that what they intended? I know they like to use frustration as a business model, but sometimes I think the devs have a fetish for it.

It would be better if you could choose to use a booster once you have seen the map/mode, in the setup phase.

If you play RB, you will always have bases. Just saying.

 

And airdom is limited to a certain max BR. You don't get those maps if you chose your BR accordingly.

You can easily find this out yourself by trial. I'd say try 4.3. If you never encounter airdoms, try 4.0.

Or you check the replay server and look up the airdoms and their BRs.

Thats right.

ADom is restricted to matches till Match BR 3.0. Means, lowest BR in the match is a 3.0 guy so with a Deck BR of 4.3 you are safe.

At least through reading, RB is even worse for bombers than AB. At least in Arcade, you have the ability to reload your munitions. Trying to spade the Japanese bomber line one miniscule run at a time would be murder even without the usual stalkers.

This can't be true. I'm currently running the A6M3 mod.22, Ki-43-III otsu, and G5N1. All of these are 4.3, and I still get domination maps.

Reload is not the problem. If you can drop on a base once with a bomber, you have won RP wise. If you make a second trip, you have RP galore.

But that is not air domination, just domination. In fact, that is a great map for fast bombers. There are plenty of targets on the ground.

Your thread is about air domination, which is another map type, which has no ground targets whatsoever. And I am pretty positive that a 4.3 lineup will stay clear.

In fact he names his thread Air Domination and is grumbling about normal domination in his post.

 

But yeah, Dom can be good for finishing off a bigger group of ground targets fast and be done with it.

 

If somebody chooses to fly a only one type of plane lineup, he can't be helped anyway.
