Stonejager 3 Report post Posted April 9, 2023 Dear Gaijin, Please remove destroyers from costal battles (or at least create a costal only option). Costal battles now are nothing more than destroyers duking it out at the costal points. Before anyone says 'get gud,' do remember that some of us haven't played this game for 10 years, and we are trying to research our costal craft, oftentimes with large gaps in torpedo availability, and if you have costal craft that do not have torpedoes, no matter how 'gud' you are, there's nothing you can do. LtCol-RedFox@psn 103 Report post Posted April 23, 2023 G'day, I see this idea often yet it will never work and will continue like it has since with the old TT, Destroyers/Cruisers shall continue to fight alongside smaller craft. The idea of separate game modes is already a thing but only up to 2.3 iirc with the largest vessel to spawn is an 800t corvette Sub Rank III yet to ask for above this BR/Rank is pointless as there's still many large ships including those of bluewater design within the coastal TT to which begs the question as usual. IF a split to TT's to two separate modes would all the destroyer escorts, destroyer, frigate, escort/patrol ships, large torpedo boat, corvettes of the Coastal TT get to play within such a mode or would you demand them as well to be exampled from said mode to? That's imo the greatest question when asking for such a change. On the subject of get gud and the ten years you mentioned the mode is still only four years old so most people are essentially on near equal playing fields depending on how much they've ground out although those from pre 2.01 (which imo these days is not many players) may have more machines unlocked since everything was slightly easier to grind back then. Redcap375 4 Report post Posted June 16, 2023 That's the least of this games problems mate. Having to wait 10 mins for a game is long enough though, having less ships to pick you would not get a game. Within 10 games i could see how shocking Coastal battles are with auto cannons or go home. The BR is busted, CAS is xxx, grind is crazy and OP ships are all over the place. JamesPappy 104 Report post Posted June 17, 2023 ironically, I always put a 3.7 BR destroyer in my lineup so I can kill destroyers with my torpedo boat. That's the whole point. Problem then is going against all the soviet cold war era autocannon slingers that kill every boat in the game. 1 PR206 or an MPKpr204 can easily hold off 6-10 regular PT boats.
