Pillboxes used to give you 100 score back in the days. About a year ago (I don't remember exactly now, but it was a long time ago) it was changed to 40 score. Why? The devs just make things worse for the players over time. The devs surely noticed, when they make small changes (nerfs) from time to time, barely anyone notice this, so players don't protest. And even if some players notice such change, they are usually fine with it (it's just a small change, not big deal!). Most players don't understand with eg. 10 small changes like that every year, the grind gets noticeably worse year by year. So this is a very effective method to make the grind worse over time without upsetting too many players. I'm also not happy about this change, but what can we do? Right now it makes no sense (score-wise) to destroy pillboxes. Before this change, I used to attack them at the very beginning of the battle. Now I just focus on soft targets, they give you exactly same score like pillboxes, and killing them with MGs is so much quicker. Yes, it was the same update that changed base-bombing. They increased the score from base bombing on low ranks (1-2) and decreased the score from base bombing on other ranks. I remember that, because I was surprised they didn't mention AB ground scoring changes in that update (they only mentioned such changes, for RB and SB). But they still lowered the scoring for destroying pillboxes in AB. So if you find that news, you will get the exact date when this change happened. It was surely a long time ago. Thodin 6,784 Report post Posted April 15, 2023 (edited) NPCs generally get you almost nothing. Yesterday I played on a larger operation map with my jet. The ones with the frontline and different mission targets like "killing the convoy at xy, kill the bombers at yx" etc.... So I took out some npc recon aircraft, bombers, shot some tank convoys. I got quite some "completed" messages, but at the end I just had 400 match points, which is a joke. For one NPC jet mission target I got 12 points^^ Totally worth it. No wounder ppl only bomb bases and do PvP deathmatch. (Why do they even programm these missions, if its so pointless?)
