researching vehicles after they have been moved in the tech tree

i took a hiatus from playing a while back, and the german tree got restructured. i was in the process of researching the begleitpanzer 57, as you can see attached. before i take the time to finish researching it, can i buy it without researching the previous TAM and PUMA? thanks!

No...AFAIK once the tree is rearranged you will need to follow the NEW requisites. It will allow you to complete the research but then you will need the previous vehicle to purchase the new one...

I have a japan cruiser that i fully researched and now i need the previous destroyer (that didn't exist before i started the research) before i can buy it...so i have direct experience

 

There was a "transition" time (short) where you could still buy the vehicle...but now you will need the previous vehicle(s).
