I need help improving my skills but I don't know how to do it

I mostly play 5.3 France and 5.0 Sweden, but not much further in the br because I find it hard to grind. I am thinking of buying the cv 90105 but I don't know how good it is compared other tanks at it's br

France - Just activate about 10 backups for the AMX-13 DCA 40, equip it with default or AP belts and go to town. That thing absolutely wrecks everything on ground and in the air. 

 

Sweden - Strv m/42 DT, Pvkv m/43 (1963) and the T18B are a decent lineup. If you can get the IKV 91, that thing was a menace when it was lower BR, but it still does the job.

 

CV 90105, no idea, but I generally don't play anything beyond 8.0.

The CV90105 as a vehicle is quite good, but if you dont have:

1) Experience in Hightier Ground as a player

2) A full lineup with AA´s + Backup vehicles

3) Highlevel Crews

 

...you will suffer and u will drag down your team.

I think both Nations have some nice sweetspots at BR 5.7 - even more if you consider getting premiums:

 

FR: Panther "Dauphine", M4A1 (FL10), M36B2, M4A4 (SA40), M4A3E2, AMX-13 DCA 40 + S.O.8000 or P-63C-5 ((or Yak-3 if you are super lucky))

SWE: Strv 74, PT-76, Comet, T-34-85, Pvkv m/43 (1963), Ikv 103 + VL Pyörremyrsky or Bf 109 G-6

 

Both lineups bring a very nice mix between convensional and Post-War (APDS/HEAT FS) ammo against uptiers.

Above 5.7 i think SWE and FR really only get interesting at BR 8.3 and above, as u get uptiered a lot against very powerful vehicles/players. Especially FR can get quite painful, as u heavily rely on AP, while SWE at least has a interesting BR 7.3 Lineup with Strv 81 (RB 52) + Strv 81, + Ikv 91 + SK-60B.

Just follow what @Noir89 said.

I'd like to add:

-take your time, do not rush through the BRs and try to spade every vehicle.

-play as support, follow your teammates instead of lead the the way, this is also helpful to learn better the maps.

-if you have time, try to grind another nation, perhaps one of the most likely you'll face in battle/you struggle more to defeat.

Play a tank you struggle to penetrate is the best way to learn its pros and cons.

Cv90105 is very good for grinding. Since it is a premium vehicle, there is no penalty for researching anything lower in the tech tree. 

 

 A deck only with the CV40105 as Sole vehicle  (maybe with vouchers) lets you advance through the ranks quite quickly:

Start match, shoot & die, rinse and repeat!

(The fact that cv40105 was raised from 9.3 to 9.7 does hardly matter, since anybody at this BR is quite capable to one-shoot you anyway)

 

 ODL-haters will of course hate you, but this is only a sound reaction to the economics of WT...

Only thing that really helps your overall skills is just time in the game. Don't chase the next new thing or try to find the magic tank. Pick a good line up in the mid BR range and stay there, just play at that level. Ace out all the crews while really learning the maps and the other sides hardware and weak spots. As you go on you find all kinda interesting things you didn't know, overlooked or over thought before, it suddenly starts getting much easier.  

 

Just takes time in, that's all.

The French tree mid tier is a mess after the EBR got pushed all the way up to 5.3 and the SA50 and FL 10 move up to 5.0   I don't play Dumbos so the changes has me rarely playing France anymore (upper tiers carry insane repair costs unless they've fixed that..)

Which EBR? 1951 or 1954 cause 1954 is now 6.7
