"Proyekt X" (1935) Studied, But Not Planned

A heavy cruiser design presented by Rimskiy-Korsakov, of 15,500t standard displacement, with 4*3*240mm/60 calibre main guns. It features a hanger for many seaplanes and a speed of 38 knots (210,000 horsepowers).

 

"Baltic" Project (1935) Studied, But Not Planned

An unknown heavy cruiser design presented by V. L. Berezinskiy and V. A. Nikitin, of 20,000t standard displacement, with 3*3*~250mm main guns. 36 knots (210,000 horsepowers).

 

Italian "Ansaldo" Project (1936) Studied, But Not Planned

Design of maximally 22,000t standard displacement, with 3*3*~250mm main guns. 37 knots (210,000 horsepowers).

 

All of the three aforementioned projects, as well as more unknowned projects, become the preliminary work for the "Proyekt 22" heavy cruiser.

 

"Proyekt 22" (1936?) Planned, But Not Ordered

A heavy cruiser of 23,000t standard displacement, with possibly 3*3*254mm/55 calibre main guns (with other weapon systems studied). 34 knots (210,000 horsepowers). It is a continuation of the works on a heavy cruiser since 1935. The parameters is changed for a few times around 1937, then paused, and finally cancelled in 1939 in favour of a heavy cruiser with 305mm guns.

 

"Proyekt 69" (1938)

A reinforced version of the "Proyekt 22", with 24,500t standard displacement and enhanced protection. The propulsion (210,000 horsepowers) has not yet be changed.

 

"Proyekt 69" Kronshtadt (1940) Ordered, But Not Finished

35,500t standard displacement, 3*3*305mm/54 calibre main guns, 33 knots (231,000 horsepowers).

VMF Kronshtadt and VMF Sevastopol' are ordered. Post-war projects to finish construction exists.

 

"Proyekt 69I" Kronshtadt (1940) 

An alternate version of the Proyekt 69 with imported German 3*2*380mm guns.

 

"Proyekt 83" Petropavlovsk (1940) Ordered, But Not Finished

15,500t standard displacement imported Lützow as VMF Petropavlovsk. Post-war projects to finish construction exists.
