Dynamic weather will make the game play more alive and in ground rb will be more fun game play ! In WT, when you add little things, such as Sonic cone or Contrails, you get bashed out by players In DCS however, when you improves graphics and visuals, it is welcome. The difference is indeed the playerbase. Also it always take more time to Gaijin to add realism into the game, because the graphic engine is only used in Gaijin games --> all things have to be created from blank page. Taking into consideration the last argue, and if Gaijin wants to do it, it would take quite a lot to have it developped, tested, and approuved, before the release. I remember a couple of ground battles where it was raining at the start and after a while it stopped and the sun was shining. However that was kinda annoying as everything was "wet" (read covered in a thin ice-like layer) and was reflecting blinding sun rays like crazy... But anyway.... that first one is not realistic at all really.... it has been heavily modified, edited, cut, pasted, cut and re-pasted and so on and on... the tree line is fake and the storm has been edited in as well, so not a good example to use... If I remember correctly... the game can have working dynamic weather, but it is disabled and more than likely for balance reasons.... there could be a major change in the weather that turns the tide for the other side.... ethantokes 85 Report post Posted June 8, 2023 This really needs to happen. "Balance reasons" is a terrible excuse imo. One of the coolest things in DCS is how awesome the weather is. At least some condensation on the cockpit when going through clouds would be nice. I really dislike that there is effectively no weather visually, it's probably my #1 graphical gripe.
