BlaireauBlinde 523 Report post Posted May 8, 2023 It's honestly my thought that she needs to go to 4.0 at least. She simply can't take on other destroyers and have a chance of winning. Her torps are....underwhelming. At 4.3 she just gets kicked to death by every other destroyer out there. What am I missing to get this ship to work? Am I the only one who runs one? What can I do to get the most out of this little ship. I really want to like this little boat, but just damn I can't make it work for me. Any advice? What tactics work for this ship? Rupert64 39 Report post Posted May 9, 2023 (edited) I totally agree. Comparing the Aigle to the fast firing destr. of USA (Fletcher) or GB(Jervis) she has no chance in a 1:1 situation. Additionally the sec. armament is weaker as the number of torp. is less. And last - the slow turning turrets are also a disadvantage in the most situations. A a plus the main caliber ist 13cm instead of 12cm on US and GB but combined with half of the fire rate I conclude that the BR of Aigle should be 4.0 At 4.3 the aigle very often faces Muffets which cripple the Aigle quite fast. This may also happen at 4.0 but not so often. I honestly think that a Clemson class could take her in a 1 on 1 fight. I really hope that she will get an adjustment in BR when the French naval comes in. I'm told that the premium cruiser is about the same...and that's kept me from buying it. Rupert64 39 Report post Posted June 1, 2023 after playing again some matches using the aigle I strongly recommend to lower its BR to 4.0 -comparing to nearly other destroyers with 4.3 its weaker in turret speed and firepower on secondaries.
