Gaijin asked for constructive feedback in their latest post, here's my very short (and polite!) comment

Progression and economy should, as far as possible, provide a variety of vehicles encountered in battle, otherwise it's just boring. I.e. there should not be too many "farming" vehicles, and especially if they are statistically stronger in battles (otherwise only the same popular vehicles will appear in battle).

Only real problem I have with the game's economy is that repair cost are too high. I can't play sim with a TT jet without having a negative balance. Simply don't allow matches to nett a loss and I'll be satisfied!

Playing this game feels like a waste of my time. It's like Gaijin got a taste of premium money and couldn't stop making the game worse while racking in the dosh.

All we got so far is a bunch of words and not a single change (A revert doesn't count, since it was a problem they created)

Trying to weasel out of this with words wont help you at all neither playing the victim will. The community demands a lot of changes

Well, whatever crazy demands they take out of the soup of suggestions we've made, keep in mind it will take ages. We're working on corporate time here. They have to first schedule a meeting about the meeting they need to have about the player hubbub, first it'll take place next week, it's Saturday so that means May 29th at the earliest. After that, they can discuss the meeting they need to have, once everyone is up to speed and understanding of the problem. That'll mean another week from then, so probably June 6th.

Don't expect anything concrete from them soon, like their battle plans for fixing the economy. That's going to take a while, once they've figured out it is the economy we're upset about.

This is my main problem as well. I don't play the game much to grind, mostly just to have fun in sim. But when I do, I'm punished for it. 'Repair costs' are the most idiotic game mechanic, from a perspective of what makes a game fun. But that's not the point. The point of repair costs are to push players into giving gaijin hundreds so that they can play the game without being punished for it.

If they want players to pay to play the game, they should just do that. Though, of course, I would never pay for this, at best, mediocre game. The only value this game has is its assortment of vehicles. The mechanics in matches, especially in ground battles, are abhorrent. Capture points only serve to direct where the fights are, and maps are not even made based on gameplay in mind.

 

Another issue is that gaijin also treats repair costs as 'balancing' the matches. A vehicle is good whether or not costs 1 million to repair. The only thing that repair costs changes is that it makes it so you have to pay gaijin to play it. I.e. a pay to win mechanic.

Yeah I'd stop complaining if negative SL in a sim match netted 0. This way you use premiums to progress and tt to play.

Just remove the punishing and I'm satisfied!

 

They could do the same for RB. Instead of repair cost you get a spawn penalty subtracted from your rewards and not your SL reserve. Negative rewards simply mean 0.

True, and by a huge margin. In Israel I play a Merkava 1-2 lineup. My Merkava 2D can fire APFSDS, but my Merkava 1B and 2B can only fire HEAT. This is stupid. IRL they all had stock APFSDS.
